The Quality Engineer focuses on leading quality improvements of materials and processes, the Quality Management System, and corrective action processes. This position requires the ability to drive improvement across multiple functional areas through committed root cause discovery and analysis. Good judgment skills are necessary to ensure the appropriate balance of quality, compliance, and business needs. The scope will include ISO 9001:2015, FSC, and MAQMSR. Key Responsibilities: This is an on-site position located in Painesville, OH. Work with raw material vendors to resolve quality issues and to make improvements. Provide internal production quality support related to issue resolution, product quality/risk assessment, and product disposition. Provide plant quality support and representation in new product development, spec reviews and approvals, scale up, design transfer, and facility validation activities. Maintain and evaluate the site's corrective action program through the issuing, evaluation, and completion of corrective actions while driving step-change improvements in CAPA processes. Drive improvements to the quality system that ensure its suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness while supporting management of document control, calibration, non-conforming material, deviations, and supplier quality processes. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a technical field with 1+ years of experience in Quality or similar fields. No bachelor's degree with 5+ years of applicable experience would also be considered Solid statistical background, with Minitab knowledge preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with strong presentation skills. Ability to actively contribute in a team-based environment, effectively work across various functions and levels, and encourage open communication to reach common goals. Strong customer service and quality focus with the ability to address issues effectively, handle multiple responsibilities with minimal direction, and take initiative to identify root causes. Pay Transparency: The salary range for this position is $72,000- $96,000/ year. The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range, and in some circumstances may be above or below the range, based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education and training, and location, as well as the job scope and complexity, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position, which may change depending on the candidate pool.
