As a Senior Director, HCP Promotions, US HIV Treatment Marketing at Gilead you will play a critical leadership role in shaping and advancing healthcare provider engagement strategies for one of Gilead's leading HIV treatment brands. Reporting to the Executive Director, HIV Treatment Marketing, you will lead a team of marketers and influence enterprise-wide commercial strategy, helping healthcare providers confidently adopt therapies that improve patient outcomes. This role combines strategic leadership, commercial execution, organizational influence, and people development in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment. Strategic Brand Leadership Lead the HCP promotional strategy for a leading HIV treatment brand, ensuring alignment with brand objectives, customer needs, and business priorities. Develop integrated customer engagement strategies across personal and non-personal channels to drive awareness, knowledge, and clinical confidence. Lead positioning, messaging, customer segmentation, targeting approaches, and channel investment strategies to maximize impact. Commercial Execution & Business Performance Lead development and execution of integrated HCP communication strategies and campaigns across personal and non-personal channels Translate brand strategy into field execution through development of the HCP Plan of Action, including field messaging, call flows, objection handling, and promotional resources. Partner closely with Sales Leadership to inspire field teams and support business performance objectives. Establish and monitor key performance indicators to continuously improve promotional effectiveness and return on investment. Cross-Functional & Enterprise Leadership Collaborate across Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Commercial Operations, Analytics, Regulatory, Legal, and other key stakeholders to ensure consistent execution of strategic priorities. Lead high-impact cross-functional initiatives that support both brand objectives and broader HIV Treatment business goals. Represent U.S. Commercial on governance and enterprise leadership teams, influencing strategic decisions and driving organizational alignment. Market Insight, Innovation & Operational Excellence Leverage customer insights, market trends, competitive intelligence, and analytics to identify opportunities and inform business decisions. Champion innovation and continuous improvement to strengthen customer engagement and commercial performance. Oversee agency partnerships, vendor management, and promotional investment strategies to drive strategic and operational excellence. Leadership Impact Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on opportunities, risks, and decisions affecting the HIV Treatment business. Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and high performance. Lead through ambiguity while balancing multiple priorities in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment. Lead and develop a high-performing marketing team by setting clear direction, building capabilities, coaching talent, providing actionable feedback, and supporting career growth and succession planning. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field and 14+ years of relevant commercial experience; OR Master's degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field and 12+ years of relevant commercial experience; OR PhD and 12+ years of relevant commercial experience Preferred QualificationsAdvanced degree (MBA, MS, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent). Demonstrated success leading HCP marketing strategy and execution in highly competitive markets. Deep understanding of pharmaceutical sales, customer engagement, and commercial execution. Experience partnering effectively across Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Analytics, Regulatory, Legal, and Commercial Operations. Experience supporting market-leading brands and product lifecycle management initiatives. Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and executive stakeholders. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data and insights into strategic recommendations. Experience managing agencies, budgets, and multiple high-priority initiatives. Deep understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and promotional compliance. HIV therapeutic area experience preferred. Ability to travel up to 25%. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
