The Planner / Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and scheduling field service activities, installations, preventive maintenance, repairs, and technical support resources within the Robotics Division. This role serves as the central point of contact between customers, service technicians, project managers, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient resource utilization and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced technical environment, and possesses strong planning and coordination skills. The work model for the role is: Hybrid This role is contributing to the: ABB Robotics Canada division Key Responsibilities: Plan, schedule, and dispatch field service technicians, robotics specialists, and engineers for installations, maintenance, repairs, and emergency service calls. Coordinate technician assignments based on skills, availability, customer requirements, and geographic location. Monitor daily service activities and adjust schedules to address changing priorities and urgent customer requests. Act as the primary point of contact between customers, field personnel, project managers, and internal stakeholders regarding service scheduling and status updates. Create, maintain, and close work orders within the ERP or service management system, ensuring data accuracy and timely completion. Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and ensure service agreement commitments are met. Collaborate with inventory, procurement, and warehouse teams to ensure parts, tools, and equipment are available for scheduled work. Track and report key service metrics, including technician utilization, response times, service backlog, and on-time completion rates. Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Robotics, Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering Technology, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in dispatching, scheduling, planning, logistics coordination, or field service operations. Experience supporting industrial automation, robotics, manufacturing, engineering, or technical service environments. Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/service management systems (SAP experience considered an asset) Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
