Meet the TeamThis role is part of Cisco’s broader Finance organization and reports to the India & Sub-continent Commercial Finance Leader. As a Commercial Finance Manager, you will be an integral part of the sales organization, working closely with Area VPs, Sales Directors, Finance Controllers, and cross-functional stakeholders to support complex business transactions across the Asia-Pacific region. You will serve as a strong business partner and trusted advisor to Sales, providing financial and commercial guidance throughout the lifecycle of non-standard deals while ensuring alignment with Cisco’s policies, governance, and risk requirements. Your ImpactAs a Commercial Finance Manager, you will lead and coordinate the structuring, review, and approval of complex and non-standard business opportunities. You will apply strong commercial judgment to help Cisco optimize margins, manage risk, and remain competitive. You will work closely with Sales and cross-functional teams to structure commercially viable deals, assess financial impacts, identify risks, and ensure appropriate approvals and governance. Your role will provide exposure across multiple areas of the business and will be critical to enabling successful and compliant customer transactions. What You’ll DoYou will manage and support the end-to-end deal structuring, review, and approval process for non-standard deals within your assigned accounts or geography. You will partner with Sales teams to optimize deal structures, mitigate financial and commercial risks, and address potential channel, country, or theatre conflicts. You will facilitate deal reviews and approvals by coordinating communication between Sales, Finance, and other relevant stakeholders. You will provide guidance on pricing, deal packaging, and non-standard deal policies, while helping Sales teams understand and comply with established processes. You will perform scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, what-if comparisons, NPV, and IRR analysis to support deal structuring and commercial decision-making. You will ensure appropriate deal governance, compliance, and risk assessment throughout the transaction lifecycle. You will also identify potential revenue recognition considerations and partner with the Corporate Revenue Accounting team on non-standard terms and revenue-related issues. You will collaborate with Legal on contract reviews and assessments and build strong cross-functional relationships with Sales Account Teams, Legal, Segment Finance, Sales & Services Finance, Treasury, Cisco Capital, Tax, Corporate Revenue, and other business functions. You will maintain a strong understanding of Cisco’s products, services, and new offerings to provide effective commercial guidance and support evolving business requirements. Who You’ll Work WithYou will work closely with Sales Account Teams, Area VPs, Sales Directors, Finance Controllers, Segment Finance, Sales & Services Finance, Legal, Treasury, Cisco Capital, Tax, Corporate Revenue Accounting, and other internal and external stakeholders involved in business transactions. Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, with an MBA preferred. Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial finance, pricing, deal management, bid management, or a related business finance function. Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with experience evaluating commercial opportunities and supporting complex business decisions. Strong communication, interpersonal, stakeholder-management, planning, and time-management skills, with the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and business pressure. Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience as a business partner within the IT, Technology, or Telecommunications industry is preferred. Experience in deal management, commercial finance, pricing, RFPs, bids, tendering, or complex deal structuring is highly desirable. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, data manipulation, financial analysis, scenario modelling, and sensitivity analysis. Experience leveraging AI and automation to improve deal management, analysis, and execution efficiency. Understanding of revenue recognition, contract terms, risk assessment, and financial governance is advantageous. Knowledge of Cisco’s product and service portfolio is preferred but not essential. Fluency in English, with excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Why Cisco?
