THE ROLE: Join AMD’s team of highly skilled professionals in managing the quality performance of key manufacturing partners and suppliers in the production of our leading-edge Game Console, Graphics, Server and CPU products. Our presence in the region gives this supplier quality team exposure to multiple AMD product development teams and manufacturing operation teams, in addition to our critical manufacturing partners and suppliers. This team partners with AMD Manufacturing Team and Procurement Team to drive our Suppliers proactively work towards AMD quality expectations and requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as the primary quality contact point for bump, assembly, and advance packaging service to AMD. Partner with suppliers to develop and execute robust manufacturing control plans that ensure compliance with defined product specifications. Establish and use quality metrics to drive end‑to‑end continuous improvement. Proactively identify systemic improvement opportunities and collaborate with suppliers to define and execute long‑term, annual improvement initiatives to reduce quality defects. Promote SPC compliance and continuous enhancement to minimize out‑of‑control conditions. Conduct annual supplier audits and production line walks, as needed, to ensure quality standards are met. Evaluate supplier quality performance through a quarterly scorecard process and clearly communicate performance results and improvement priorities. Ensure suppliers adopting AMD quality methodologies, including 8D and Why‑Why analysis, non‑conformance management, corrective action systems, and change management processes. Lead customer and internal quality issue escalations, partnering with AMD engineering team and suppliers to drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions using structured problem‑solving approaches. Track, monitor, and proactively report on supplier quality activities—not limited to excursion events—to management on a weekly basis. Share supplier quality project updates with internal stakeholders, highlight improvement opportunities, and collaborate cross‑functionally to influence design for manufacturability. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Experience in advance packaging and quality experience is strongly preferred. Experience in setting up and managing Supplier Quality and Supplier Management processes. Quality Auditor certification is preferred. ISO9001, IATF16949, VDA6.3 etc. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Capable of working independently and collaborating with other groups to provide solutions. Statistical analysis capability such as JMP and Power BI. Programming skills such as Python or equivalent are preferred. Fluent in both spoken and written English.
