Job Description Title: Specialist, OTC Controls Division: Finance Reports to: Associate Director, OTC Controls Location: Kuala Lumpur (KL BSC) Position Overview Within Global Business Solutions (GBS), the Order-to-Cash (OTC) organization is responsible for the design, governance, and execution of end-to-end OTC processes. As part of an ongoing initiative to strengthen governance, standardization, and audit readiness, OTC is establishing a centralized Controls capability in the Kuala Lumpur (KL) Business Support Center (BSC). The Specialist, OTC Controls, will be responsible for executing periodic SOX controls across all OTC processes globally, in line with approved procedures, control narratives, and audit requirements. The role will focus on retrospective control validation, evidence preparation, documentation, exception identification, and audit support. The Specialist will work closely with Senior Specialists, the Associate Director, OTC Controls, GPOs, Compliance, IT, and operational teams across all BSCs to ensure control activities are completed accurately, consistently, and on time. Primary Responsibilities Execute assigned periodic SOX controls across all OTC processes globally. Perform data extraction, validation, sampling, reconciliation, and preparation of control files in line with approved procedures. Collect, review, and organize supporting evidence required for control execution and audit readiness. Document control results clearly, accurately, and in accordance with established standards. Identify control exceptions, anomalies, missing evidence, or process inconsistencies. Escalate issues requiring further review to Senior Specialists or the Associate Director, OTC Controls. Support follow-up activities with Operations, GPOs, Compliance, IT, and other stakeholders. Maintain control documentation, evidence repositories, trackers, and execution records. Support internal and external audit requests by preparing and retrieving required documentation. Contribute to remediation tracking, issue resolution, and continuous improvement activities. Support reporting and metrics related to control execution status, exceptions, and completion. Participate in initiatives to standardize, simplify, and improve control execution processes. Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Experience within Finance Shared Services, Order-to-Cash, Internal Controls, SOX, Audit, Compliance, or related finance operations. Understanding of OTC processes preferred. Exposure to SOX controls, audit requirements, or control documentation preferred. Experience with SAP SD / FI preferred. Technical and Soft Skills Requirements Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good understanding of process execution, documentation, and evidence management. Analytical mindset and ability to identify exceptions, gaps, and inconsistencies. Ability to follow approved procedures and meet deadlines. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage recurring control activities. Good collaboration skills across Finance, Compliance, Operations, Audit, and IT stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Accountability and ownership mindset. Willingness to learn and develop expertise in OTC controls, SOX compliance, and audit support. Experience with reporting, automation tools, data analysis, or process improvement approaches is a plus.
