The Opportunity Join a dynamic, international team at the forefront of product environmental compliance. You will be working in the Roche Pharma Environmental & Chemical Regulations team. Our goal is to ensure our products comply with environmental regulations, and improve their sustainability performance. Joining our team will provide you with the experience of working in a cross-functional and international team, and will give you the opportunity to learn about pharmaceutical manufacturing and how this connects to sustainability and environmental compliance. The scope of your work will include supporting our Environmental Product Classification team and experts in collecting, maintaining and analysing Environment, Health and Safety Data (EH&S) for our pharmaceutical products, providing stakeholders with valuable data insights, while contributing to compliance decision making. You will be responsible for EH&S data projects aiming at increasing the quality and availability of EH&S information as well as understanding key data requirements. In addition, you will be supporting the team with various tasks related to the optimization and streamlining of EH&S analyses and their communication. Who you are:Education: You are enrolled or have completed your Master’s studies (within the last 12 months prior to the internship start date) at a university, preferably in the field of Data Science, Environmental Studies, Life Science or Sustainability. Expertise: You have experience with data management and visualisation tools and software. You have ideally experience in “Python” programming language or similar. You have knowledge of visualization software such as Tableau, which is considered a plus. Mindset & Sustainability Passion: You are interested in the environment, health and safety data and how it is applied for pharmaceutical products, collect and model EHS-related project data, and support product teams with environmental and safety insights. Data Management & Analytical Skills: You are comfortable collecting, standardizing, organizing, and communicating complex data from multiple sources in a clear, precise, and structured manner. You enjoy optimizing and streamlining analysis workflows. Soft Skills & Collaboration: You are a proactive, passionate, and critical thinker with excellent communication skills, thriving as a team player in cross-functional, international environments with excellent written and spoken English skills, while any German language knowledge is considered a plus.
