At Roche, we offer a hybrid work model that combines flexibility with in-person collaboration. For now, we require our employees to be in our offices on average two days per week. The specific office days may vary depending on business needs, such as workshops, conferences, town halls, team meetings, and other collaborative events. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will independently manage end-to-end business analysis workstreams, tackling complex business problems in an evolving technology environment. You will demonstrate a strong understanding of business domains, enterprise technologies, and their interdependencies, applying advanced Business Analysis tools and techniques to translate business needs into requirements, solution options, and implementation plans. You will work closely with the Product Owner and Product Manager, as well as Engineering, Architecture, Security, Privacy, Legal, Compliance, UX, and business stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and helping teams make informed decisions. A key focus of this role is supporting enterprise Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI platforms and capabilities used across Roche, including commercial enterprise LLM platforms and an internally built AI assistant. You will be expected to understand key AI concepts, confidently discuss AI-related opportunities, limitations, risks, and requirements, and effectively bridge conversations between business and technical stakeholders. The opportunity: The RDT Artificial Intelligence organization enables enterprise adoption of Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI capabilities across Roche. The team works across enterprise AI platforms, internal AI solutions, integrations, governance, adoption, and operational processes. Job ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis Leadership: Independently plan and manage end-to-end Business Analysis activities for complex, ambiguous initiatives - defining approach, scope, stakeholders, and deliverables, and analyzing business needs, root causes, capabilities, and risks to recommend high-value solution options. Requirements Management: Elicit, analyze, prioritize, validate, document, and manage business, stakeholder, functional, non-functional, and transition requirements. Engage cross-functional stakeholders, facilitate workshops, and resolve conflicting needs to align teams around solution direction. Solution Evaluation: Define success measures and acceptance criteria, validate proposed and delivered solutions against business needs, and use stakeholder feedback, usage insights, and other evidence to identify improvement opportunities. AI Business Analysis: Translate business needs into actionable requirements for AI-enabled solutions, preparing them for prioritization by the Product Owner and Product Manager, and help stakeholders understand AI capabilities, limitations, risks, dependencies, and implementation considerations. Adoption & Enablement: Support platform rollout and onboarding, and drive adoption through user-facing enablement - training sessions and office hours, user guides, FAQs, and internal communication campaigns in partnership with Communications and Change Management. Platform Operations: Support licence and access management, track adoption, usage, and feedback, monitor vendor releases and assess their impact on Roche users and platform security Impact & Delivery: Support the Product Owner and Product Manager by providing the analysis, evidence, and requirements that inform product and solution roadmaps, prioritization decisions, implementation planning, governance processes, and continuous improvement initiatives. BA Practice Development: Mentor junior and intermediate Business Analysts and contribute to Business Analysis standards, templates, methods, and Community of Practice activities. Who you are: Education / Experience: 5+ years of Business Analysis, Technology Consulting, Product Analysis, or comparable experience. Demonstrated ability to work with ambiguous requirements, structure complex problems, evaluate solution options, and translate business needs into actionable requirements and implementation plans. Fluency in English. Proactive mindset with a focus on initiating process improvements and contributing to organizational development, such as active involvement in the Community of Practice (CoP). Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. Experience working in large enterprise environments; life sciences, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or another regulated industry is an advantage. IIBA certification (e.g. CCBA/CBAP) or equivalent recognized Business Analysis certification is an advantage. Experience with UX or user-centred design practices such as user research, user journeys, usability testing, prototyping, or service design is an advantage. Business Analysis and Technical Skills Advanced knowledge of Business Analysis concepts, practices, tools, and techniques across complex technology initiatives. Strong proficiency in requirements elicitation and documentation, ensuring comprehensive requirements traceability and consistent change management. Ability to facilitate workshops, structure complex discussions, challenge assumptions, resolve conflicts, and support evidence-based decisions. Experience working within Agile product delivery environments in close partnership with Product Owners and Product Managers, including backlog refinement, user story writing, and acceptance criteria definition, and with common delivery and collaboration tooling (e.g. Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow). Experience working across global and cross-functional organizations. Domain Expertise Practical, hands-on fluency with Generative AI tools, and a good understanding of key Generative AI concepts, such as Large Language Models, prompting, context windows, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, model evaluation, and common AI limitations. Professional experience working with AI solutions in an enterprise environment - for example in implementation, product development, platform rollout, integration, governance, adoption, or operations - is a strong advantage. Understanding of enterprise AI considerations including data privacy, security, responsible AI, governance, intellectual property and access management. Comfortable discussing AI topics with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and translating between business requirements and technical capabilities. Good understanding of enterprise technology concepts such as SaaS platforms, integrations, APIs, identity and access management, and data flows. Familiarity with Low Code/No Code automation platforms to support process automation, workflow design, or rapid prototyping is an advantage Unders
