Job Description Role Overview The Pricing Lead – Middle East is responsible for defining and executing pricing strategies across the region to optimize value realization, patient access, and business sustainability. The role partners closely with Global Pricing & Analytics (GP&A), Market Access, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure aligned, compliant, and data-driven pricing decisions across the portfolio. The position plays a critical role in navigating complex pricing environments, supporting launch readiness, and driving innovative pricing and access solutions. Key Responsibilities: 1. Regional Pricing Strategy & Execution • Lead the development and implementation of regional pricing strategies aligned with global guidance and local market dynamics • Drive price positioning across countries, ensuring optimal balance between access, value, and profitability • Provide strategic input into launch pricing, lifecycle management, and business case development 2. Price Governance & Compliance • Lead pricing submissions through governance processes, ensuring adherence to Global Price Governance frameworks • Support preparation of pricing business cases, including financial, strategic, and risk considerations • Ensure compliance with pricing policies, competition law, and internal approval processes 3. Market Access & Reimbursement Integration • Partner with Market Access teams to ensure alignment between pricing and reimbursement strategies • Support development of value dossiers, health economic evidence, and payer value narratives • Contribute to payer negotiations by providing pricing strategy and scenario modeling 4. Analytics, Insights & Price Intelligence • Conduct competitive pricing analysis and benchmark across markets • Maintain and leverage pricing databases and tools (e.g., global price systems) to ensure data integrity • Translate analytics into actionable insights to support pricing decisions 5. Cross-functional Leadership • Act as the regional pricing point of contact with Global Pricing & Analytics (GP&A) and Global Value & Access (GV&A) • Collaborate with Finance, Regulatory, Commercial, and Government Affairs teams • Support affiliate teams in developing pricing strategies and business cases 6. Innovative Pricing & Access Models • Develop and pilot innovative pricing approaches (e.g., access schemes, tier pricing, value-based agreements) • Support adaptation to markets with evolving policy environments and affordability constraints • Contribute to regional discussions on alternative access pathways 7. Stakeholder & External Engagement • Support engagement with key external stakeholders (e.g., payers, regulators, policy bodies) where relevant • Provide pricing input into advocacy and policy discussions impacting access and pricing frameworks • Monitor regulatory and policy changes affecting pricing Key Deliverables • Regional pricing strategies per product / portfolio • Pricing business cases and governance submissions • Competitive pricing analyses and insights • Launch price recommendations and lifecycle optimization plans • Support to payer negotiations and market access strategies Qualifications & Experience • Advanced degree in Health Economics, Pharmacy, Business, or related field • Strong experience in pricing, market access, or health economics within the pharmaceutical industry • Proven expertise in pricing strategy, reimbursement systems, and policy environments in the Middle East • Experience working with global / regional teams in matrix organizations.
