We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our solution-focused team of Applications, Information Solutions, and Engineering Specialists covering the Central East region of the UK (Mansfield and surrounding areas). In this role, you will provide comprehensive, whole-solution support for a diverse range of high-value medical diagnostic equipment. From installation, fault diagnosis, and preventative maintenance to customer training and technical troubleshooting, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of healthcare delivery across NHS, University, and private laboratory environments. Key ResponsibilitiesEmpower Yourself: Take charge of providing technical support for complex electrical and mechanical medical diagnostic equipment, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliability. Deliver Impact: Perform fault diagnosis, routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and system installations, both on-site and via remote diagnostic support. Build Connections: Represent Roche Diagnostics with professionalism, empathy, and integrity, building trust-based relationships with key laboratory personnel and stakeholders. Make a Difference: Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams in hospital and laboratory environments to enhance operational efficiency and improve patient care outcomes. Drive Proactive Solutions: Work as part of a close-knit, multi-disciplinary team offering proactive implementation, technical systems support, and analytical reviews alongside reactive troubleshooting. Resilient, tenacious, and analytical, you possess a passion for insights and feel comfortable working with technical, scientific, and numeric data. Requirements & Qualifications: Proven Experience: Qualified Engineer with a proven track record servicing high-value capital equipment. Education: Equivalent qualification to HNC/HND level or above in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering is highly desirable. Customer Focus: A confident, customer-centric mindset with the ability to navigate complex matrix environments and build productive relationships. Collaboration: Strong capability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team (Applications, IT, and Engineering) to deliver a seamless service solution. Flexibility: Willingness and capability to work within a 7-day support model to meet customer and patient needs across the region.
