In Patient Safety Operations, our Central Operations team is critical in transforming and delivering data to meet evolving global safety requirements. In this strategic role, you will be accountable for shaping and executing our end-to-end strategy for safety-related data outputs, ensuring we maintain high compliance, operational excellence, and quality across our global footprint. You will lead the oversight of safety data processing, partner closely with vendor alliances, and drive the implementation of cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence within pharmacovigilance. By collaborating with key stakeholders across Roche globally, you will foster continuous improvement, ensure audit readiness, and help establish novel approaches for processing complex safety data to safeguard patient health. Drive Data & Safety Strategy: Lead the transformation and delivery of ICSR, device safety, and clinical trial data outputs to meet global regulatory and internal scientific standards. Oversee Vendor & Operational Quality: Manage global case processing footprint, monitoring compliance, metrics, and KPIs to ensure continuous improvement and inspection readiness. Pioneer AI & Process Innovation: Co-develop and implement innovative processes and human-in-the-loop interventions for AI-augmented safety data operations. Manage Regulatory Projects: Lead and optimise regulatory reporting projects across Roche products through effective cross-functional collaboration and performance tracking. Collaborate & Influence Globally: Build strong global networks across Roche, partner with business process owners, and represent Central Operations in internal and external forums. Lead Agile & Quality Initiatives: Model agile ways of working, act as Squad Lead when needed, and contribute to the evolution of the Patient Safety Operations Quality Management System (QMS). Who You Are Relevant Education: A degree-level qualification in a scientific or related field; a postgraduate qualification (PhD, PharmD, MSc, MD) or formal pharmacovigilance qualification is strongly desired. Pharmacovigilance Expertise: More than 3 years of pharmaceutical industry experience with robust knowledge of global PV regulatory obligations and affiliate safety processes. Process & Project Leadership: Demonstrated success in process design, matrix team leadership, project management, and global process oversight. Tech & Innovation Mindset: Strong interest or experience in applying novel tools, data analytics, and AI technologies to safety data management and regulatory reporting. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills with a proven track record of influencing without direct authority. Agile & Strategic Mindset: Ability to apply systems thinking, lead through change, and work effectively in virtual, international teams in alignment with Roche leadership commitments.
