Join us and, together, we’ll advance your career. THE ROLE: We are looking for a n Principal Firmware Architect/ Engineer with an obsession for firmware. As part of the role, th e architect will work closely with other firmware engineers, developers and peer architects across memory IPs in leading the desig ns and implementing firmware that spans pre -silicon and post-silicon for all AMD SoCs. THE PERSON: You are passionate about firmware development with creative and effective problem-solving skills, a motivated, self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively in fast paced environments. You have excellent technical communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead Engineer responsible for d esign ing , develop ing , debug ging , verify ing and/or validat ing firmware, software and/or hardware Lead day-to-day f irmware development work Provide consultation to internal and external customers regarding AMD features and programming requirement s PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Multiple p rior years of related firmware experience combined with technical education within the semiconductor industry Strong experience Memory PHY E xpert level e xperience producing quality firmware C, C++, DDR, LPDDR ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s or M aster’s degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent LOCATION : Santa Clara, CA ( Open to other AMD locations) This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. #LI-SL3 #LI-HYBRID Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance .
