Role Overview: The position As a Salesforce DevOps & Digital SDLC Engineer, you will play a key role in leading the Salesforce development lifecycle and deployment activities, owning release governance. You will design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and own digital SLDC adoption, documentation completeness, audit readiness and alignment to SDLC expectations. You will take part in ensuring development teams follow release governance procedures, best practices and principles. You will ensure deployments and documentation are inline with our GxP requirements ensuring we meet our deliverables automation traceability, and audit/inspection readiness. Who are you? You are a Salesforce DevOps Engineer who has worked on Salesforce projects. You have experience administering Salesforce platform and a good understanding of the platform and it’s metadata. You understand SDLC controls, regulated delivery, and can help the teams translate delivery work into compliant lifcycle evidence without slowing down agile delivery. You possess holistic experience across the platform and are willing to use pro-code and no-code solutions where they are suitable. You enjoy collaborating with the wider Salesforce team and working on cross-functional projects together. You are experienced with agile and Scrum methodologies and using deployment tools to support the release management process across multiple sandboxes. In addition, you can support and advise the rest of the team on the topic of Salesforce development lifecycle and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). What will you do? Your primary activities include (but are not limited to): DevOps: Using Salesforce tools to commit, analyze, validate, deploy and release changes. Perform Release Management activities. Design, implement, document and maintain Salesforce Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines. Maintain the configuration of Salesforce tools, document development lifecycle and deployment processes. Act as the Salesforce team’s Digital SDLC focal point for releases. Ensure QAP, RS, DCS, RTM, QASR and other committed deliverables are planned, maintained and completed where applicable. Support GxP/regulatory determination, risk profile inputs, traceability, test evidence and release readiness. Partner with Product Owners, QA/Compliance, Technical Business Analysts, Technical Delivery teams and Business Unit stakeholders. Promote automation such as Jira integration, test management integration, change automation, CI/CD evidence capture and compliance-as-code where appropriate. This is supported by Digital SDLC maturity guidance. Coaching and training colleagues. Adhering to Salesforce best practices. Perform Salesforce Administrator activities. Collaborating with IT and developers of other systems to integrate across the business. Supporting Salesforce development teams on a daily basis. Working closely with business, gathering requirements. undefined Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required At least 3 years of Salesforce experience. At least 2 years of Salesforce DevOps experience using Salesforce DevOps tools such as Copado, Gearset or Flosum. Good understanding of git and branching strategies. Certified Salesforce Administrator Good understanding of Salesforce and it’s Metadata API. Knowledge of Salesforce Sales, Service, as well as an understanding of standard Salesforce implementation processes, including design patterns, release management, deployment strategies, and testing. Ability to work independently. Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with business stakeholders and other Salesforce team members. Proficient in Salesforce development lifecycle and environment strategy. Ability to write, interpret, and critique technical specifications. Experience working with large datasets and bulkification. Ability to gather requirements and present and communicate solutions to stakeholders. Ability to create and maintain clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation. Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and contribute to a positive team environment. Desireable Additional Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Platform App Builder, Salesforce Platform Developer and/or Salesforce Development Lifecycle and Deployment Architect. A Bachelor’s/Postgraduate degree, a professional qualification, or relevant experience. Competency in other programming languages, development tools, DevSecOps and IT in general. Demonstrates continued personal and professional development. Digital SDLC or equivalent SDLC/CSV/CSA tooling. GxP, validated systems, regulated system delivery, or life sciences/pharma compliance. Requirements traceability, release documentation, validation evidence, audit readiness, change control, and risk-based testing. Working with QA/Compliance partners and applying good documentation practices. Knowledge of Experience Cloud products • Active participation in the Salesforce community.
