Job Description SummaryProvides regulatory strategy and direction to the business regarding healthcare industry regulatory requirements for product launch, premarket submissions/registrations and postmarket compliance, working closely with healthcare regulatory bodies globally. Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesProvide regulatory guidance and execution support to the business regarding product launch requirements, regulatory submissions, and post-market compliance activities. Ensure the processing and management of safety data for all products within the assigned GE HealthCare business and maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal quality standards. Develop subject matter expertise within the regulatory function and establish a growing reputation across the organization. Serve as a functional expert, providing professional leadership and guidance. Influence functional policies and ensure effective implementation within the function while collaborating closely with other organizational functions. Typically functions as a second-line manager with senior managers reporting directly. Demonstrates the ability to attract, develop, and retain talent. Generally leads medium to large-sized teams. Lead functional teams and/or projects, where applicable, involving moderate resource requirements, risk levels, and complexity. Provide business solutions and recommendations to senior leadership within the scope of the functional area. Communicate complex issues effectively and negotiate primarily with internal stakeholders to drive alignment and adoption of alternative viewpoints. Influence peers to take action and, when required, negotiate with external partners, suppliers, or customers. Have significant influence over a small business unit, a segment of a larger business, a branch within a function, or a profit-and-loss-related area of responsibility, with accountability for budgets and resource allocation. Operate within established functional policies while contributing to the development and implementation of key operational policies and guidelines. Support colleagues in developing innovative solutions to complex business problems that may impact the organization. Demonstrate strong judgment in evaluating the quality of information received and challenging conflicting data during analysis and decision-making. Leverage multiple internal and external resources beyond the immediate function to support informed decision-making. Basic QualificationsFor Roles Outside the United StatesSignificant experience in the relevant functional area. Master's degree from an accredited university, OR a Bachelor's degree with substantial experience in a related field. For Roles Within the United StatesMaster's degree from an accredited university; OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in the relevant function. Desired CharacteristicsStrong oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and leadership capabilities. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to lead programs and projects. Ability to document, plan, initiate, and execute programs effectively. Established project management skills.
