About the job: Job Description Project management The Tokyo Branch is considering the launch of Trade Finance products among others. We are seeking a professional with hands-on experience in Trade Finance and/or broad banking operations and the strategic planning skills required to design and implement new operational frameworks. In addition to expanding our product scope, the Tokyo Branch plans to execute several key projects, including business process re-engineering and cyber/fraud risk assessments. We are looking for an individual with strong project management skills to lead these initiatives. Day-to-day operations Customer registration and deposit account opening Reviewing loan agreements and managing execution logistics (Reviewing operational terms such as application deadlines, interest rate resets and repayment schedules, etc.), coordinating signing procedures Transaction processing: Due date control and collaboration with the Hub for loan distribution, rate resets, etc. to ensure timely transaction executions. Monitoring and ensuring the Hub performing their operations correctly. Fix the rate with HK Treasury and issue payment orders for JPY loan execution Deposit account operations: Preparing ledger entry instructions for deposits/withdrawals, placing the deposited funds to earn interest, requesting to issue SWIFT payment orders for withdrawals, preparing statements/balance certificates Handling of Standby Letters of Credit (SBLC) and other similar products Nostro reconciliation: Preparing accounting instructions for maintenance fees, investigating discrepancies and making corrective actions as necessary Execution of capital funding transactions to manage cash liquidity and FX transactions to convert foreign currency profits in JPY Safekeeping and archiving of physical documents Qualifications 4 to 7 years’ experience in middle/back office in Mega Bank or other international banks Basic Knowledge of administration in Banking industry Business-level English proficiency (Reading and Writing) is required. Verbal communication skills are highly advantageous.
