THE ROLE AMD's Infinity Fabric Verification Team is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Verification to lead a growing organization responsible for delivering industry-leading verification solutions for AMD's next-generation Data Fabric and SoC architectures. Infinity Fabric is the foundational interconnect technology that powers AMD's CPU, GPU, AI, and Data Center products. As a Director, you will lead multiple teams responsible for verifying complex subsystem and fabric technologies used across some of the world's most advanced computing platforms. This is a highly visible leadership role requiring a unique combination of technical excellence, organizational leadership, and strategic execution. You will define verification strategies, build high-performing engineering teams, drive execution across global sites, and partner closely with architecture, design, program management, emulation, post-silicon, and product teams to deliver first-pass silicon success. You will play a critical role in scaling verification methodologies, driving quality, improving productivity through automation and AI-assisted verification flows, and developing future technical leaders within the organization. As a verification leader, you will drive the adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices to improve productivity, quality, and execution velocity. You will champion the use of Generative AI, intelligent automation, and data-driven methodologies across the verification lifecycle. THE PERSON You are a passionate engineering leader who thrives at the intersection of technology, people, and execution. You have a strong background in complex SoC, CPU, ASIC, or interconnect verification and a proven track record of leading large engineering teams through multiple product cycles. You combine deep technical expertise with the ability to inspire teams, influence stakeholders, and deliver results in a highly matrixed global environment. You are known for building strong organizations, developing talent, creating accountability, and fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and collaboration. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Technical Leadership Own verification strategy and execution for key Infinity Fabric and Data Fabric subsystems. Drive all aspects of the verification lifecycle, including planning, methodology, environment development, coverage closure, debug, and signoff. Champion verification innovation through advanced methodologies, automation, formal verification, AI/ML-assisted verification, and scalable infrastructure. Ensure world-class quality and first-silicon success across multiple programs and product generations. Organizational Leadership Build, lead, and develop a high-performing verification organization comprising technical leads, managers, and engineers. Coach and mentor future leaders while fostering a strong culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Drive talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, and organizational growth. Program Execution Partner with architecture, design, software, emulation, and program management teams to define project plans, milestones, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies. Drive predictable execution across multiple concurrent projects while balancing quality, schedule, and resource priorities. Represent the verification organization in program reviews, leadership updates, and executive forums. Strategic Impact Influence AMD-wide verification practices and methodologies. Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and scalability across teams and programs. Help shape the future roadmap of verification technologies, tools, and engineering processes. AI & Engineering Transformation Drive adoption of AI and automation to improve verification productivity and quality. Leverage Generative AI and data analytics to accelerate planning, debug, coverage closure, and execution. Partner with methodology, EDA, and AI teams to deploy next-generation verification solutions. Promote a culture of continuous innovation and responsible AI usage across the organization. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in Design Verification with a significant portion in technical and people leadership positions. Proven experience leading large verification teams on complex CPU, GPU, SoC, Interconnect, Networking, or ASIC programs from concept through tape-out. Deep expertise in: SystemVerilog and UVM Functional Coverage Random-Constrained Verification Assertions and Formal Verification Verification Architecture and Methodology Debug and Root Cause Analysis Experience delivering complex multi-die or highly integrated SoC products. Demonstrated success working across global engineering organizations. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
