Job description

As a Firmware Applications Engineer,you will be responsible to define the firmware requirement of digital DC/DCcontrollers, for the high-voltage and mid-voltage intermediate DC/DC busconverters (IBC) for AI computing, datacenter, server, and telecom applications.Lead and drive the validation of embedded firmware features, providing technicalsupport to internal members and external customers. Define the firmware features of next generation digital controllers in DC/DC converters in server, datacenter, and telecom applications Develop and execute test plans for firmware validation Design and implement clear, well-documented example code Develop customized firmware to meet specific customer requirements Provide technical support to customers and internal teams on firmware-related matters. Troubleshoot and resolve issues Creation and maintenance of technical document of firmware development processes, programming guide, and debugging procedures Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and training programs for team members and customers BSEE or MSEE preferred in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering 5+ years of experience in firmware development, preferably with a focus on power electronics or DCDC controllers Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems Strong understanding of digital control systems and power electronics principles Experience with microcontroller programming and real-time operating systems Familiarity with debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems Familiarity with communication protocols (I2C, PMBus, SPI, UART, CAN) Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently We are on a journey to create the best Infineon for everyone.
