Systems Architect, Data Center Design and Construction

Job description

The System Architecture Engineer leads system development and cross-functional system delivery for Meta's global Design, Construction, and Engineering (DEC) organization. This role sets the technical direction for the systems domain, drives major initiatives from concept through delivery, and serves as the primary technical authority for complex platform decisions — spanning enterprise platforms (Unifier, P6, ACC, etc.), integrations with internal enterprise platforms and services, and data architecture. This person owns the strategy and engineering solution across a system's portfolio, solving complex, high-impact problems in the domain and leading initiatives that define the team and cross-team strategy. They operate as a credible co-owner across cross-functional boundaries — able to independently drive product decisions, engineer technical solutions, design reviews, and technical analyses alongside business leaders, product managers, and data teams.
