The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for for developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production. The role drives continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, delivery performance, and waste reduction while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Working closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams, the Manufacturing Engineer supports operational excellence through process optimization, problem-solving, and the successful introduction of new products and technologies into manufacturing. This position is part of the Technical department located in Medemblik and will be an on-site position. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery. What you will do: Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance. Lead continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities, eliminating waste, and enhancing operational efficiency Provide technical support to production operations by troubleshooting process issues and implementing sustainable solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, achieve business objectives, and support operational excellence. Support new product introductions and manufacturing changes by establishing robust processes, validating production readiness, and ensuring successful implementation. Who you are: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or industrial engineering role within a production environment. Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Proficiency in manufacturing systems and engineering tools, including ERP/CMMS systems and Microsoft Office applications. Experience with process validation, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions in a regulated manufacturing environment It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic systems, with hands-on problem-solving experience Software development and database programming PLC programming Join our winning team today.
