Job Description SummaryGE HealthCare is looking for a motivated student to support purchasing and logistics activities for engineering materials and components. The role includes supporting purchase order processing, supplier communication, order tracking, and coordination with internal teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials. This is an office-based student position, requiring 2–3 working days per week. The position is intended for second- or third-year students with at least one year remaining until graduation. Job DescriptionJob Responsibilities Support the creation, review, and processing of purchase orders for materials, components, and services. Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and potential delays. Coordinate with engineering and other internal teams to understand material requirements and delivery timelines. Track open orders and follow up to support on-time delivery. Support inbound and outbound logistics activities, including shipping, receiving, customs clearance, and warehousing. Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, shipping documents, and inventory information. Assist in resolving discrepancies related to orders, invoices, and shipments. Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Engineering, and other internal teams as needed. Support process improvement activities within the purchasing and logistics functions. Job Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering and Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Second- or third-year student with at least one year remaining until graduation. Availability to work 2–3 days per week from the office. Previous experience in purchasing, logistics, supply chain, or working with suppliers is an advantage but not required. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP is an advantage. Good communication and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
