Project Role : Database Administrator Project Role Description : Design, implement and maintain databases. Install database management systems (DMBS). Develop procedures for day-to-day maintenance and problem resolution. Must have skills : Aveva OSIsoft PI Good to have skills : NA Minimum 3 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary: As a Database Administrator, a typical day involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database systems to support organizational needs. This role includes installing database management systems and developing efficient procedures to ensure smooth daily operations. The position requires continuous monitoring and problem-solving to maintain database integrity and performance, while collaborating with various teams to support data accessibility and security. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Monitor database performance and implement changes to improve efficiency and reliability. - Ensure data security and compliance with organizational policies and standards. - Assist in the planning and execution of database upgrades and migrations. - Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Aveva OSIsoft PI. - Experience in database installation, configuration, and maintenance. - Strong understanding of data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery techniques. - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues effectively. - Familiarity with database security best practices and access control mechanisms. - Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization for database systems.
