Information Specialist - VIE Contract Location: Belgium, Gent / Zwijnaarde Target start date: 01/01/2027 iMove, the Sanofi VIE Program, is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28. PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship. About the job As Information Specialist VIE within our Intellectual Property team, you’ll strengthen team's capacity to support R&D on search questions for early stage projects and competitive intelligence, as well as for freedom to operate (FTO) analyses in preparation of M2 transitions. Together, we chase the miracles of science to improve people’s lives. Main responsibilities: You map global competitive landscapes by using various market screening and search tools. You analyze the fast-growing competitive landscape of biologics, including single variable domain technologies and other antibody modalities, and you collect market information on new patents, products and technologies under development in this space. You work closely together with other Sanofi competitive intelligence and market search and analytic teams, as well as with external search tool providers. You closely follow-up our key competitors. You perform a detailed analysis of the obtained market information. You study competitor’s publications (literature, patents, etc.) to obtain specific information on competitor’s products and technologies. You update, report, present and discuss your analyses at various levels in interdisciplinary team meetings, and with a range of stakeholders in the company. You maintain a close interaction with Sanofi scientists, intellectual property professionals, and other internal stakeholders. You are actively involved in the evaluation of the obtained data and the discussions on the strategic positioning of Sanofi in the competitive landscape. You work closely with scientists and intellectual property professionals to define roadmaps for new projects, IP filings, and subsequent IP enforcement. While gaining in-depth competitive intelligence knowledge on the antibody and single variable domain space, you also build expertise in market screening and search tools that are ideally used for such detailed market analysis. This expertise might later be applied in the analysis of other segments of the antibody and single variable domain space as well as in other product and/or technology market segments. About you Experience: You have hands-on experience with Web-based searching tools including the use of AI tools. You easily obtain rapid and solid expertise in specific IT market screening and searching tools and databases (e.g. Cortellis, PatSnap, …). You preferably have experience in detailed Competitive Intelligence analyses. Soft and technical skills: You are a motivated self-starter, who is keen to contribute to an interdisciplinary team in more ways than merely handling assigned projects. You have outstanding analytical skills. You are proactive and take initiative. You are a good communicator, coordinator, team player, and have good relational skills. You are flexible, creative and enthusiastic. You have a thorough awareness of confidentiality matters and are discreet with confidential information. Education: You have a Master’s degree in biology or biochemistry (Applied Biology, Molecular & Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, …).
