Job Description: Strategic Buyer – Rear Fuselage & Empennage An opportunity for a Strategic Buyer – Rear Fuselage & Empennage has arisen within Airbus Operations, Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the Aerostructures Procurement Team. This dynamic, highly motivated team is in charge of shaping the structural core of our aircraft by managing key contractual and commercial frameworks, securing top-tier value, and keeping our supply chain ahead of the curve in high-technology work packages. RESPONSIBILITIES The main tasks of the jobholder will be: Manage end-to-end supplier contracts to ensure optimal purchasing conditions, cost efficiency, and risk mitigation. Identify and deliver strategic value-creation projects that directly impact long-term competitiveness. Nurture executive-level relationships with global suppliers to drive continuous performance and collaboration. Lead cross-functional Work Package teams on product strategy, ensuring seamless alignment with the broader Multi-Functional Team (MFT). Own and execute the Procurement Plan, translating high-level strategy into tangible commercial milestones. SKILLS Is your profile aligned to the following list of skills? Apply! We are looking forward to knowing you: Education: Degree in Business Administration, Industrial/Aeronautical Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline. Experience: Proven experience in strategic procurement, complex contract negotiations, and international supplier management. Soft skills: Leadership skills with a track record of driving cross-functional alignment across technical and commercial stakeholders, alongside an entrepreneurial mindset focused on value creation. Languages: Advanced/Fluent level in English. Technical knowledge: Advanced negotiation, commercial optimization, and international contract management capabilities.
