This Position reports to: Team Lead- Intercompany Job Description Accounting & Reporting Analyst (Grade 16) – Intercompany (R2R I2C) Reports To: Team Lead - Intercompany Global Grade: Grade 16 Function: Record-to-Report (R2R) / Intercompany Accounting (I2C) Position Summary The Accounting & Reporting Analyst is responsible for managing end-to-end intercompany accounting activities, including intercompany reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing, accrual accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany settlement processes. The role requires close collaboration with global finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, timely closure of books, and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. Experience & Qualifications 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in Accounting, Reporting, or Intercompany Accounting. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field. Experience working in multinational and shared services environments is preferred. Functional Competencies Strong knowledge of:Intercompany Reconciliation (ICR) General Ledger (GL) Accounting Accruals and Provisions Balance Sheet Reconciliation Month-End and Year-End Closing Financial Reporting Intercompany Settlement and Matching Processes Technical Skills Proficiency in SAP ECC/S4HANA. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Experience with financial reporting and reconciliation tools is an added advantage. Key Responsibilities Manage month-end and year-end closing activities in line with corporate timelines. Prepare and post intercompany journal entries, accruals, and adjustment entries. Perform intercompany matching and reconciliation activities and resolve outstanding differences in a timely manner. Investigate and clear intercompany balance mismatches across group entities. Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of financial transactions and accounting records. Monitor and manage foreign exchange (FX) impacts on intercompany balances. Support group reporting requirements by providing accurate accounting information and schedules. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of open items. Coordinate and oversee intercompany payment settlements and clearing activities. Work closely with regional and global stakeholders to resolve accounting and reconciliation issues. Support internal and external audit requirements and ensure compliance with SOX and company policies. Drive process improvements, standardisation, and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and control. Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and demanding month-end schedules. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong team collaboration and customer-service orientation. Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
