We are looking for a motivated and curious Medical Trainee to join our Immunology Medical Affairs team in Portugal. This opportunity is part of FirstStep@AbbVie, our Early Career Program designed to provide recent graduates with a structured learning experience and practical exposure to the pharmaceutical industry. As a Medical Trainee, you will have the opportunity to learn about the role of Medical Affairs within a leading biopharmaceutical company, gaining exposure to scientific, medical, and cross-functional activities that support AbbVie's Immunology portfolio. Throughout the program, you will work closely with experienced colleagues, contributing to ongoing projects while developing your knowledge and professional skills. What you will learn and experience Gain exposure to the day-to-day activities of a Medical Affairs team. Support the preparation and review of scientific and medical materials under appropriate guidance. Participate in literature reviews and learn how scientific evidence is evaluated and applied in practice. Contribute to the development of educational materials and internal scientific presentations. Gain experience in the planning and execution of scientific meetings, advisory boards and congress-related activities. Learn how medical information requests are managed and supported. Collaborate with colleagues across Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, Pharmacovigilance and Commercial functions to better understand the pharmaceutical environment. Develop knowledge of Immunology and the broader healthcare landscape. Learn how scientific and medical activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, local regulations and industry standards. University degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences or a related field. Strong interest in Medical Affairs, science and the pharmaceutical industry. Good understanding of scientific literature and evidence-based medicine. Strong communication and organizational skills. Curiosity, learning agility and willingness to collaborate in a cross-functional environment. Fluent in Portuguese and English. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
