Job description

Responsibilities: Coordinate tax team and external tax service provider allocated at plant to achieve Tax goals and to perform tax compliance; Guide and train the team for tax legislation and SAP system activities, such as entry of invoices, data analysis, issue of documents and reports, reconciliations, among others, in order to maintain a qualified team to meet the company needs; Analyze customer and supplier tax operations to identify the correct tax application, taking into account the legal requirements and protecting company interests; Coordinate the calculation of invoice ICMS taxes, the Tax Replacement ICMSST and IPI, comparing the tax books with the general ledger and the SYCHRO (program to comply with Tax Authorities), generating the payment bills (GARE), as summarized in the tax calculation report; Responsible for the presentation of the financial statements to the Federal Revenue Office and National Finance Secretary, at the national, state and local levels, in order to comply with tax legislation and keep up to date the legal company obligations; Periodically control the amounts of import tax credits through spreadsheets and reports, in order to meet the audit and determine the tax credits of company operations; Responsible for attending to the inspection of the Federal, State and Municipal Revenue Office, welcoming the agents and providing all explanation required on each operation; Follow and observe the changes in the tax legislation, making sure of its accuracy and informing them to the team, in order to keep the company’s obligations rigorously updated; Attend internal and external audits, preparing and submitting the required tax data and statements reports, upon request of the audit firms. It must perform activities that contribute to the achievement of objectives related to quality, environment, health and safety (HSE), as well as programs aimed at improving service to internal and external customers. It is also responsible for supporting the Quality Management System processes, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 50001 standards.
