Job Description SummaryPosition Overview The Managing Director is responsible for leading large-scale healthcare transformation programs that combine consulting, advanced analytics, AI-enabled technology, workflow redesign, governance, and change management to improve clinical, operational, financial, and patient outcomes across health systems. This executive leader serves as the senior client advisor, Engagement Executive, portfolio leader, business executive, and innovation champion for a portfolio of Command Center engagements. The Managing Director drives successful customer outcomes while partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Commercial teams to shape future solutions, influence product strategy, and accelerate business growth. The role is accountable for portfolio performance, strategic account growth, client satisfaction, talent development, product innovation, and the establishment of scalable delivery standards across the Command Center ecosystem. The Managing Director is recognized as an internal and external thought leader who helps shape the future direction of healthcare operations. Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities Executive Client Leadership Serve as Executive Sponsor and Engagement Executive for Command Center programs Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-suite leaders and hospital executives Advise senior leaders on enterprise operating models, capacity management, patient flow, workforce optimization, and health system transformation strategies Facilitate executive decision-making and alignment across complex stakeholder groups. Intervene in critical delivery, scope, stakeholder, and change management challenges to help teams navigate complex environments and achieve outcomes Build long-term executive relationships that drive customer retention, strategic partnership growth, and future business opportunities Healthcare Transformation & Delivery Leadership Oversee Command Center strategy, design, activation, and optimization initiatives Guide the design of future-state workflows, governance structures, staffing models, operating mechanisms, and change management approaches Establish and continuously refine delivery methodologies, implementation standards, risk management frameworks, and best practices across the Command Center portfolio Ensure delivery teams achieve measurable operational, clinical, financial, and patient-centered outcomes Collaborate across programs to replicate successful approaches and scale proven transformation methods across the business Product Strategy & Innovation Leadership Maintain executive-level knowledge of the full Command Center ecosystem, including existing capabilities, emerging functionality, customer use cases, and future roadmap priorities Partner with Product, Engineering, and AI/Data Science teams to shape product strategy and long-term innovation priorities based on customer needs, market trends, and Voice of the Customer insights Sponsor pilots, beta programs, and innovation initiatives that improve healthcare delivery and operational performance Advise commercial and product teams on solution positioning, value messaging, and customer outcome stories Help shape integrated solutions that combine technology, governance, workflow redesign, analytics, and change management to drive sustainable results Portfolio & Business Leadership Manage a portfolio of strategic accounts and enterprise healthcare transformation engagements Own portfolio financial performance, including revenue, margin, utilization, renewal, and growth objectives Identify, position, and convert expansion opportunities within existing customer accounts Partner with Commercial teams to support business development, executive sales discussions, and strategic account planning Develop executive-level business cases, investment strategies, and transformation roadmaps with customers. Drive customer referenceability and long-term retention Balance and allocate resources across customer implementations, upgrades, expansion opportunities, strategic initiatives, and new-product pilots Influence portfolio prioritization decisions to optimize customer outcomes, delivery effectiveness, and business performance People, Culture & Organizational Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop consulting, program management, analytics, and transformation leaders Establish clear expectations as a people leader and promote accountability across the organization Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, learning, accountability, and continuous improvement Lead succession planning, talent reviews, leadership development, and workforce planning activities. Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, compensation planning, and employee development programs Champion initiatives that enhance team morale, strengthen culture, and support long-term organizational growth Enterprise & Market Leadership Serve as an internal and external thought leader in healthcare operations, Command Centers, patient flow, capacity management, and digital transformation Publish insights, contribute to industry forums, and represent the organization at conferences, executive events, and customer advisory boards Monitor healthcare, technology, regulatory, and operational trends to inform customer strategy and business direction Shape product investment priorities and strategic growth opportunities based on emerging industry needs Promote collaboration across GE HealthCare businesses to create integrated customer solutions and growth opportunities Represent the organization as a trusted voice in healthcare transformation and operational excellence Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree required 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare consulting, healthcare operations, healthcare technology, operational transformation, or related fields Experience with people leadership, career guidance, and HR functions Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale healthcare transformation initiatives Experience serving as a trusted advisor to executive and C-suite stakeholders Proven ability to manage portfolios of strategic customer engagements and achieve financial performance targets Deep expertise in patient flow, access, capacity management, care coordination, Command Centers, and healthcare operations improvement Demonstrated experience influencing product strategy, innovation initiatives, or healthcare technology roadmaps Proven success leading cross-functional teams spanning consulting, analytics, product, engineering, and commercial organizations Exceptional executive communication, presentation, facilitation, and relationship management skills Ability to travel to client sites (Up to 75%) Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Public Health, Engineering, Analytics, or related field Experience with Command Center solutions, digital operations centers, capacity command platforms, or related healthcare technologies Experience with AI-enabled operational tools, predictive analytics, simulation modeling, and advanced healthcare analytics Experience leading or sponsoring healthcare software, data, interoperability, cloud, analytics, or AI-enabled transformation initiatives in partnership with hospital IT, operational, and clinical leadership. Demonstrated industry thought leadership through publications, conference presentations, advisory boards, or professional recognition Lean Six Sigma, operational excellence, change management, or related certifications Experience launching new products, services, consulting offerings, or healthcare technology solutions We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $193,600.00-$290,400.00 Annual.
