Job Description This Engineering IPT Intern role in Cork, Ireland, supports a multinational pharmaceutical site's daily operations. You will help manage and gain hands-on experience in daily engineering activities and continuous improvement projects in a regulated manufacturing environment. Role Overview Location: Cork, Ireland Duration: 6 - 9 Months Department: Vaccines IPT Reporting to: Engineering Manager Key Responsibilities Engineering Audits & Inspections: Conduct routine site walk-throughs to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and compliance issues across laboratories and manufacturing suites. Project Support: Assist the engineering & operations teams with equipment upgrades and vendor management. EHS & Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, environmental sustainability goals, and safety protocols. Data Management: Prepare and update engineering metrics, KPI dashboards, and technical documentation. Continuous Improvement: Participate in projects to improve equipment efficiency and reduce operational downtime. Requirements Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree (Level 8) in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical), or a related discipline. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, EHS, Manufacturing). High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen interest in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
