Job description
The Digital NFC Modem Group based in Gratkorn is responsible to deliver very high quality solutions for NFC RF Communications. The team is involved in all aspects of the Digital Design Flow, from Specifications to Tape-Out, including validation, production enablement and customer support. As Embedded Firmware Engineer, you'll help develop and test high-quality embedded software for innovative semiconductor solutions. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll gain hands-on experience throughout the full firmware development lifecycle while continuously expanding your technical skills. Your Reponsibilities: Develop, test, and verify embedded firmware solutions. Understand customer and system requirements and translate them into firmware implementations. Collaborate with senior engineers to define priorities, deliverables, and project plans. Write clean, high-quality code and supporting documentation. Contribute to improving firmware development processes and workflows. Work closely with teammates and stakeholders across different projects. Grow your expertise in firmware development tools, methodologies, and embedded systems. Your Profile: University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field. Knowledge of embedded software development and software engineering principles. Programming skills in C/C++ and/or Rust. Experience with Linux, command-line tools, and scripting. Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts. Knowledge of Python programming. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN. Enjoy working in an open and collaborative team environment. Good organization skills and effective work routines. Curiosity, flexibility, and enthusiasm for solving technical challenges. Proficiency in English (written and spoken). Nice to Have: Exposure to Agile development and Continuous Integration (CI). Experience with RTOS-based firmware development. Understanding of embedded hardware architectures. Knowledge of HDL design or verification languages. Familiarity with digital design and verification tools.
