The Director, Global Process Owner - Compensation & Benefits (C&B) is responsible for responsible for leading Danaher’s C&B record-to-report (R2R) activities in partnership with Operating Company (Op Co) finance teams and shared service centers. This role ensures finance processes are efficient, automated, and operating at a world-class standard. By leveraging modern finance technologies, driving standardization and continuous improvement, the role strengthens the performance, scalability, and compliance of financial operations in Danaher’s decentralized, SOX-controlled environment. As part of Danaher’s finance transformation initiative, the Director, Global Process Owner - C&B works closely with other global process leaders, Op Co and Corporate IT teams, and finance leadership to standardize C&B R2R activities, maintain robust internal controls, and deliver greater efficiency and value across the business. This position reports to the Senior Director, Enterprise Processes Controller, and is part of the Finance organization based in Washington, DC, USA. The position will be based onsite in Budapest. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Own the end-to-end strategy, governance, and transformation roadmap for Danaher’s Compensation & Benefits (C&B) Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, driving standardization, automation (AI, RPA, and other technologies), best practices, and continuous improvement across the enterprise. Partner with HR, OpCo finance teams, shared service centers, and cross-functional stakeholders to support Global Payroll Harmonization efforts, centralize and standardize payroll and C&B processes and systems, improve process maturity, and enhance efficiency, scalability, and cost effectiveness. Lead Danaher-wide process excellence initiatives across C&B, Travel & Expense (T&E), and related benefit processes by applying DBS tools, resolving process issues, and driving consistent, effective policies, procedures, internal controls, and financial integrity across the enterprise. Provide leadership for monthly and quarterly close and reporting activities, including balance sheet reporting, supplemental C&B reporting requirements, account reconciliations, compliance with Danaher guidelines, and support for internal and external audits. Serve as a key change leader for Danaher’s finance transformation by influencing Platform CFOs, OpCo Controllers, IT leaders, finance teams, and shared services organizations; mentoring associates involved in automation initiatives; and building enterprise The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, or a related field, with 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, financial systems, corporate finance transformation, financial operations leadership, or process improvement within a complex global organization. Proven success leading large-scale process improvement, automation, and transformation initiatives, including finance system implementations, shared services optimization, and deployment of automation technologies such as RPA and AI to deliver measurable efficiency, quality, and cost improvements. Strong expertise in enterprise financial technologies, including ERP, consolidation/reporting, and planning systems, with proficiency in data analysis and advanced analytical tools to monitor process performance, support decision-making, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Deep understanding of financial controls, compliance, and reporting requirements, including SOX 404 or similar internal control frameworks in a public-company environment, as well as knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles. Exceptional collaboration, communication, and project leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across finance, IT, operations, and shared services; drive alignment within decentralized and matrixed organizations; apply Lean/DBS methodologies; manage multiple initiatives simultaneously; and deliver results through cross-functional teams. Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role Ability to travel 20% It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Finance transformation or shared services implementation experience – for example, involvement in centralizing processes or deploying new global finance teams and seeing them through change management across diverse business units. Experience with the Danaher Business System (DBS) or similar Lean/Kaizen methodologies, demonstrating an ability to drive standardization and best-practice sharing in finance processes.
