Private Banker (Peru and Ecuador) BSISA Country: Switzerland The Private Banker is responsible for delivering high-level and superior service to a portfolio of High-Net-Worth (HNW) clients. As the primary point of contact, the Banker plays a key role in expanding and retaining existing relationships while acquiring new affluent clients. This role requires a strong ability to penetrate and develop relationships in key geographic markets, particularly Peru and Ecuador, as well as other relevant high-growth wealth areas in the Andean region. The Banker will also work closely with local group entities to leverage internal networks and strengthen business development efforts. Key Responsibilities Client Relationship Management: Develop, manage, and retain relationships with HNW individuals across targeted regions. Expand existing Assets Under Management (AUM) and establish new client relationships through proactive prospecting and networking. Provide tailored financial solutions, including banking, credit, asset management, investment advisory, and insurance services. Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring clients receive personalized wealth planning guidance, including pension financial planning strategies. Facilitate seamless interactions between clients and internal teams to deliver an exceptional service experience. Business Development & Market Focus: Identify and capitalize on opportunities in the Peruvian and Ecuadorian wealth management markets. Develop strategic relationships with local institutions and entities within the bank’s group to enhance market penetration. Maintain a deep understanding of the Peruvian and Ecuadorian wealth management landscapes, including evolving regulatory and market dynamics. Leverage insights into regional economic trends to drive targeted business growth. Investment & Financial Analysis: Analyze investment opportunities and market trends to provide informed recommendations to clients. Review and interpret corporate financial statements, macroeconomic trends, and other relevant data to support client decision-making. Stay up to date with global economic developments that could impact client portfolios. Collaboration & Internal Partnerships: Work closely with Private Wealth, Products, and Compliance teams to develop and execute market strategies. Ensure that cross-business synergies are fully leveraged to maximize client engagement and satisfaction. Contribute to the overall strategy of the Andean Zone Private Banking coverage team by sharing market intelligence and best practices. Risk & Compliance Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies. Maintain high standards of risk awareness and adherence to best practices in client management. Promote a strong risk culture within the team by adhering to compliance frameworks and ethical standards. Profile Education & Experience: University degree in Economics, Finance, or equivalent experience in Private Banking. 5-10 years of experience in Private Banking/Wealth Management, with a strong focus on the the Peruvian and Ecuadorian markets. CMWMA certification is required. Candidates who do not hold the certification at the time of hire will be expected to obtain it within the required timeframe after joining. Proven track record in developing business and cultivating strong client relationships, particularly in key the Peruvian and Ecuadorian HNW and wealth management markets. Skills & Competencies: Excellent understanding of the the Peruvian and Ecuadorian wealth management industries and their key characteristics. Strong sales and business development skills, with the ability to grow and retain a book of business. Ability to build relationships with local institutions and entities within the group. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Deep understanding of investment products, financial markets, and pension planning. High ethical standards and strong corporate work ethics Others: Swiss residency or willingness to relocate to Switzerland.
