THE ROLE: AMD is seeking an experienced professional for its Tier 1 CSP Business Group (DC GPU CBG), focused on driving our business success with North America cloud service providers. The role requires deep engagement with engineering, sales, and customer success teams to drive North America CSP business growth and ensure successful deployment of AMD technologies in AI and cloud environments. This role will report directly to a CVP in AMD DC GPU BU and will be based in U.S. THE PERSON: This is a high-impact role with direct influence over AMD’s strategic engagements with North America cloud providers and AI innovators. Candidates should bring a mix of technical proficiency, strategic thinking, operational excellence, and strong cross-functional communication skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive the strategy and playbook for AMD’s engagement with North America cloud customers through deep understanding of our customer needs, and proven ability to synthesize a comprehensive overall hardware + software solution. Outline and operationalize strategic business targets aligned with corporate and BU-level goals Execute to annual objectives as measured by design wins, revenue and gross margin Engage with system hardware architects, software engineers, and thought leaders at customers and ensure efficient collaboration with AMD engineering and software teams Lead technical and business-related follow-ups as AMD’s key point of contact Build partnerships with CSP’s internal teams and their customers Develop training materials and demand-generation content Analyze industry trends, especially CSP performance in AI Serve as first line of resolve technical and quality issues with North America CSPs Forecast and align customer-specific revenue plans with AMD Sales teams Collaborate extensively with AMD engineering, product, quality, and business planning teams, in some cases across BUs PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Expertise in GPUs and acceleration in AI/cloud Ability to assess technical and business trade-offs for ROI History of executive level interactions in the business and technical domains Extensive experience in business development or product management in the semiconductor industry Proven work experience with managing quarterly forecasts, pricing, customer portfolio/roadmaps alignment, driving design wins, sell-in and sell-out enablement and crafting overall account strategies Possess an understanding of where technology is heading and how to use it to make an impact on driving customer interest Have solid experience and thorough understanding of datacenter, MDC and channel business models Have a strong passion for winning! Demonstrated leadership capabilities along with a strong collaborative style Ability to lead, influence and project manage global cross functional teams Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal, including presenting to different audiences - customers, media, analysts, technical experts and senior executives Possess a network of industry relationships with potential partners, competitors, customers and thought leaders Strategic thinker with a high level of integrity and strong work ethic Able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering MBA preferred LOCATION: Santa Clara CA or Austin TX (Might consider other western locations) This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
