Analog Devices in Limerick has two technically advanced segregated 200mm clean room areas, a mixed signal fabrication area and an area for processing of novel materials. Analog Devices International is looking to recruit a Process Engineer within the Backend Fabrication Engineering group. The successful candidate will: play a key role in supporting the manufacturing processes drive process and equipment control have responsibility for toolset qualification drive continuous improvement work with the development team in developing new wafer level capabilities for our technology roadmap and transferring in new processes from our sister sites. Key Responsibilities will include not limited to: As a technical contributor, drive continuous improvement for existing volume manufacturing processes, layers & tools. Work with equipment and manufacturing groups to achieve this. Work with key groups/disciplines in determining root cause analysis of yield issues, excursions, equipment downs and implementing corrective actions & robust solutions to improve the process Work with the development groups and other disciplines within Analog Devices in defining and developing new wafer level capabilities. Establish clear standards for methods of equipment and/or process work amongst shift personnel and Engineering groups – working with Equipment shift supervisors Periodic review of key metrics associated with Safety, Quality, Output and Value for Money on equipment and processes for an area and driving associated initiatives Develop own expertise of key technology changes/equipment platform changes and developments within an area Capital acquisition inclusive of definition, tool selection, installation and qualification for new or existing technologies Responsible for the safe practices across toolsets Representing ADI at business and technical conferences Candidate Requirements: Degree in Applied Physics /Electronics/Material’s/Chemistry or relevant discipline Direct experience in one or more of the following: Etch, Lithography, Deposition, Epitaxial growth, Wet Chemistry processing, Ion Implantation, Diffusion etc 3+ years’ experience in a hands-on processing engineering Excellent technical problem solving & multi-tasking skills Good communication and interaction skills Data driven and ability to apply science theory and engineering concepts Self-directing, self-motivated and ability to work in a dynamic environment #LI-AS1 For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
