The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As an USAC Applications Portfolio Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Plan, organize, communicate and direct multiple IT activities, resources and policies. Responsible for the life-cycle management of application portfolio including; overall health, addressing technical debt, PMT/ITSM maintenance, ITCP completion and understanding the cost to serve. Work as part of the leadership team to set medium term IT strategic direction, operating plans and help develop the organization’s long-term strategy. Set short-term strategic direction and operating plans for the team Provide input for establishing, and responsible for managing, IT-related spend. Implement corporate and regional technology standards and processes. Evaluate the businesses needs regarding IT systems, equipment, data, support, and training in alignment with IT direction. Provide direct supervision of a team aligned to the Portfolio Focus Area Manage and prioritize projects across the organization, set development priorities and plans for organization resources Initiate, lead, approve and sponsor various IT improvement activities and projects Regularly communicate with leadership teams, corporate technical teams and functional leaders Communicate with technical and business teams across multiple functional and organizational levels to obtain approval, cooperation and change acceptance on projects, requests and activities Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) with seven (7) years of experience in IT or Supply Chain in a public, private or military environment. -OR High School diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) with ten (10) years of experience in IT and/or technical role in a private, public, government or military environment Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Five (5) years prior supervisory experience Five (5) years of manufacturing environment experience Five (5) years software portfolio management experience Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising people, teams and/or projects including direction of others and allocation of resources. Possess understanding of team dynamics and how to resolve conflict. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication, problem solving, time management, and project planning skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple priorities simultaneously. Self-motivated individual who communicates and influences with credibility and confidence; strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to maintain working relationships from a distance.
