The Opportunity Leads technical and operational functions within the business unit responsible for supporting manufacturing operations. Ensures processes, staffing, manufacturing systems, and operational controls are appropriately developed and implemented; establishes strategic goals aligned with organizational objectives; drives utilization of engineering tools including root cause analysis, LEAN, and Six Sigma; and provides leadership for manufacturing operations to improve quality, delivery, cost, compliance, and product supply performance. What You’ll Work On Recruits, coaches, and develops organizational talent. Provides direction and guidance to exempt specialists and, where applicable, non-exempt employees. Coordinates across functional areas and business units to achieve company and departmental objectives. Utilizes technical knowledge and leadership skills to resolve technical challenges and drive process, equipment, and safety improvements. Leads manufacturing activities across multiple product lines and operating shifts to ensure achievement of safety, quality, service, and cost objectives. Develops and implements short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure manufacturing and engineering systems support business objectives. Ensures organizational compliance with company policies, FDA regulations, GMP requirements, and applicable external regulations. Works cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and other functions to support new product introductions, transfers, and commercialization activities. Drives utilization of LEAN, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and data-driven decision-making to improve manufacturing yields, process robustness, equipment reliability, and operational performance. Analyzes manufacturing and quality data to identify trends, drive continuous improvement, and support operational decision-making. Develops and maintains manufacturing systems, procedures, and controls to support operational performance and compliance requirements. Anticipates and resolves complex operational issues and cross-functional challenges that may impact business performance or product supply. Develops, monitors, and manages departmental budgets and resources. Provides cross-functional communication regarding manufacturing performance, operational issues and organizational priorities. Interfaces with internal management and external agencies during site, product and regulatory audits. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
