R10100902 Pipeline Project Engineer (Open) Location Pasadena, TX - Warehouse - National Air Liquide Large Industries provides our customers with industrial gas and energy solutions that are vital to their own industrial production. We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. We are constantly optimizing our supply network to provide high reliability and energy efficiencies allowing Air Liquide to adjust supply needs more quickly and effectively enabling growth to our customers. How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? Pipeline Project Engineer provides support for planning and execution of ALLIUS pipeline projects. Specific responsibilities of the job are focused on supporting Pipeline Project Managers in the design, execution, and delivery of pipelines and meter station scopes of work within a project. Typically, this includes development of estimates, specification, selection, design, award, procurement, construction, and installation of pipelines for the transport of industrial gas. The work can span the system selection, FEED, and execution phases of project delivery, as well as commissioning and start-up support. The Pipeline Project Engineer is responsible for support of end-to-end delivery of onshore pipeline and meter systems, including analysis and design, route selection, permitting, tendering, linepipe, coatings, valves, fittings, fabrication, installation, HDD design, geotechnical analysis, hydrotest, pre-commissioning, etc. The primary purpose of this position is to perform and/or manage engineering and delivery of pipelines and related equipment on major onshore pipeline projects and to work with the other disciplines to deliver a totally integrated project. Specific responsibilities of the job are focused on the design, execution, and delivery of the pipelines and customer lateral scopes of work within project. Typically, this includes the specification, selection, design, award, procurement, construction, and installation for these scopes. The work can span the system selection, FEED, and execution phases of project delivery, as well as commissioning and start-up support. Job Responsibilities: Pipeline route selection, analysis and design. Development of specifications and contractor scope of work for construction and installation of pipelines. Linepipe design calculations and analysis related to pressure and flow. Coordination with geotechnical contractors to obtain soil data, horizontal directional drill design and analysis. Development and updating project schedules and timelines. Development of project cost estimates and budget tracking. Oversight of survey contractors and GIS personnel. Reviews and and provides document management support of easement agreements and various real estate documents and records. Provides support for real estate records research. Support permitting activities and collaborates with right of way and permitting agents. ____________________Are you a MATCH? Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering required. Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship. Working knowledge and experience in general project management. Familiarity with Project Management Institute PMBOK or PMP certification a plus. Knowledge of pipeline related API, ASME, DOT, and OSHA codes and guidelines Membership in a local chapter of IRWA (International Right of Way Association) Knowledge of the fundamentals of real estate, wills, probate and title a plus Knowledge of Texas and Louisiana state agencies having jurisdiction over pipeline installations Knowledge of Federal and other special agencies having jurisdiction over pipeline installations Knowledge of ALTA, ACSM Land Title Survey standards, classifications, and specifications Proficient with conducting research by navigating the Internet, public databases, and other investigative networks.
