Job Description Position Overview Global Business Solutions (GBS) organization is responsible for the design, governance and execution of global processes. Within BPE (Business Process Excellence), there are three primary functions: Order to Cash, Source to Settle, and Card & Meeting Support Services and Expense Management. The Associate Director, Collections, Order to Cash is accountable for ensuring Collections process execution with excellent outcomes using standardized and documented processes that are compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations. It also comprises effective integration of business development strategies. The work will involve applying business process analysis, strategic planning and resource management skills. The incumbent is expected to establish and maintain strong, positive business relationships cross-divisionally, be an effective problem solver, and demonstrate strong aptitude for leadership. The Associate Direcort, Collections will be responsible for Accounts Receivables/Collections for all markets and divisions within their scope. As a subject matter expert with key stakeholders, the position is charged with ensuring all transactional activity is properly recorded and compliant with country statutory and tax requirements. The objective of this role is to lead and enable the BSC OtC Collections functions in partnership with their Finance and business counterparts to ensure that business objectives are met. Position Responsibilities Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following: · Monitors and drives team to deliver excellent key performance metrics and effective resource management utilization · Provides an environment where team members can develop and grow their career · Deals with low performance in team members using agreed company policies and practices · Lead a global organization supporting all aspects of Global Business Processes as described above · Ensure specialists are adequately trained and deliver high quality service to local market colleagues · Develops vision, strategy, design, metrics for process and control standardization · Align with local Finance stakeholders, Commercial, Treasury and Supply Chain globally to support their operational objectives · Ensures overall BPE talent onboarding is effectively managed and fit for purpose · Collaborate with the IT and GBS Digital organization to ensure capabilities are identified and delivered to achieve BPE objectives. · Regular and relevant communication to the customers and stakeholder groups to secure engagement, alignment, accountability · Identifies, defines and assists in develops strategy for continuous improvement opportunities · Defines and monitors metrics to evaluate health and provide for ongoing service control and sustainability · Ensures all process participants understand their role in the end-to-end design; Assures development and maintenance of process knowledge articles and training materials; make available to all process participants Education & Experience · Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred · Minimum of 5 years of Order to Cash - Collections experience required · Fluency in English required · Strong knowledge of organizational model and OTC processes and systems · Minimum of 5 years of people management and supervisory experience required, preferably in a matrix environment · Problem solving and analytical skills with a proactive management style to implement new processes · Willingness to challenge current thinking/processes related to OTC · Solid experience leading change initiatives · Strong knowledge of business processes supported by transaction processing capabilities · Strong communication, interpersonal, and organization skills required · Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and manage an effective team of highly-qualified and culturally different professionals · Ability to interact with all levels of the organization – senior leaders through working teams Technical Skills Requirements · Proficiency in PC skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required · Demonstrated commitment to education and professional development · Strong organizational skills required to coordinate and manage multiple projects · Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management · Ability to operate independently and remain focused through change or uncertainty · Willingness to travel for meetings and projects · Strong customer service mind-set · SAP experience required Physical Position Requirements · Ability to travel domestically and internationally for business meetings, workshops and leadership meetings Possible Career Moves · Associate Director Order Mgmt, Assoc Director Global Functions (i.e. Cash Application, Credit Risk Mgmt, Billing & Pricing, Credit Risk & Customer Master data, StS.
