Job Description: Procurement is looking for new colleagues! A vacancy has arisen within our Aircraft MRO Services Procurement team. You will join the Services and PSM Commodity granting you a uniquely wide vision of our current and future business. In this role, you will develop structural relationships with well and new established worldwide suppliers and manage complex work packages. One of your main responsibilities will be to develop and execute the strategy for your sub-commodities. This includes gaining a deep understanding of the market, technology evolution, tendering, negotiations, and long-term contract establishment. You will also oversee supplier analysis (evaluation, financial analysis, etc.), risk assessment, and claim management. Furthermore, you will manage Call for Tenders ensuring the selection of the best solution available on the market for all stakeholders, for this commodity. You will coordinate all activities within the Multifunctional Teams (MFT) of your domain (with members from functions like MRO Network, Services, Sales, Compliance, Finance and Quality) to safeguard successful sub-commodity management, secure our lines, and enable value-for-money proposals. With your work, you will contribute directly to the profitability of our company and to the expansion of our successful projects and related services, a vital part of the Airbus Defence and Space growth strategy. We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Commodity Manager for Aircraft MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) Services to lead and manage all aspects of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul procurement strategy and operations within Airbus Defence and Space. This role ensures the airworthiness and operational readiness of our fleet, adhering to the highest safety and quality standards. Job Qualifications: - Degree in Engineering, Business Management or equivalent - At least 4 years of experience in activities related to: Procurement (Minimum of 2 years progressive experience managing worldwide suppliers) Engineering Services MRO Project Management Quality - Proven experience in managing complex projects in a demanding global aerospace environment, preferably within the defense sector - Deep understanding of aviation regulations and airworthiness requirements - Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to persuade, influence and convince in monopolistic contexts - Excellent skills in relationships building, team building, empowering, motivating others and conflict management - Strong analytical thinking for price/value analyses - Able to anticipate, assess and mitigate risks - Proficiency in Integrity and Compliance policies and Export Control Regulations - Knowledge of SAP and Procurement tools would be an asset - Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken); French and/or German is a significant advantage - MRO knowledge will be a plus - Ability to travel as required Tasks & Responsibilities · Lead and drive tenders (internal requests, requirements and tender preparation) and supplier selections (supplier proposals evaluation) processes · Contract suppliers (coordinate internal approvals, negotiate, establish & follow-up contracts, ensuring compliance of internal processes and guidelines) · Set-up, negotiate and manage contractual agreements with suppliers, including negotiations for existing contracts and negotiation of new supplier contracts · Manage supplier relationships, leading negotiations with suppliers to ensure program/ end customer expectations fulfillment & assurance of services delivered On Quality, On Time and On Cost (identifying risks & opportunities in the supply chain, leading the annual SED-Supplier Evaluation Development, defining corrective & preventive action plans to develop strategic suppliers....) · Ensure a compliance & sustainable Procurement process (Export Control, International Cooperation & Offset, Ethics & Compliance, Environmental, Security, Customs...) · Establish, implement & monitor the commodity strategy for your perimeter · Lead the (Sub-) Commodity Multi-Functional Teams · Perform market analysis · Support services Sales campaigns · Provide inputs for MAKE-BUY analysis · Supporting transversal projects - Lead and contribute to Procurement/ Value Creation initiatives #MYCYM This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
