Job Purpose: To perform the Production Equipment maintenance activities and execute improvement projects in the assigned value stream. This includes ensuring smooth operations and continuous improvement of production systems. The role requires close working and alignment with the other departments at site, especially Production and Quality. Our Engineering Technicians conduct a wide range of engineering maintenance, physical interventions and repair activities. You will be the go-to person to respond to issues and find solutions to engineering challenges, in production areas. Beyond the day to day, you will actively improve the reliability and performance of different manufacturing & packaging machines. Responsibilities: To ensure all production systems (Pharma manufacturing and packaging equipment e.g. Capsule Filler, Tablet Fillet, Blenders, Isolators, Coating Pans, Suspension filler, Blistering & Cartoning machines, Vial Washing & Siliconization machines, Dry-heat Dehydrogenation tunnel, Sterile filling machine, labelers, pallet stackers etc) are working smoothly with proper maintenance & calibration is performed as per site CMMS schedule. Ensure adherence of PM checklist as per plan. Use of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track and execute Maintenance Workorder timely. Ensure Timely planning, execution and closure of Workorder on CMMS, with specific focus on Data Integrity requirements. Ensure Machinery Safety is top priority when operating, maintaining, upgrading and monitoring any Production system. Gain knowledge of Global Engineering Standards related to Operations Maintenance & Safety and ensure compliance. Expert in Mechanical / Electronics troubleshooting (experience of working on PLCs & HMI is mandatory) Ensure strict compliance to Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures and Permit to Work protocols. Co-ordinate with other units to ensure build-up of teamwork. Be an advocate and role model of Machinery Safety at Site To Identify & contribute in Efficiency Improvement Projects. Ensure that all equipment inventory in stores must be updated and inform relevant person if item needs to be ordered Execute actions related to Operational equipment, which are derived from deviations, audits, inspections and risks. Supervise out-sourced contractors and ensure safe working conditions in respective area. Education, Experience and Skills DAE in mechanical is required for this role. Minimum 3 – 4 years of relevant experience is required. Knowledge and experience of PLCs & HMI troubleshooting, programming Knowledge and experience of using Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs), LOTO equipment Computer use (MS Office, workday, Maintenance Monitoring systems) Skills Asset Life Cycle Management, Data Integrity, Digital Fluency, GxP Regulations, Lean Management, Manufacturing Technologies, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Problem Solving, Risk Awareness, Standards Compliance, Troubleshooting Why GSK?
