The PositionThe Opportunity At Roche Hungary Diagnostics, we believe in translating scientific innovation into meaningful outcomes for patients. As our Market Access & Policy Partner, you will drive the end-to-end market access journey, healthcare policy shaping, and strategic stakeholder engagement within the Hungarian Healthcare System. In this strategic role, you will balance the integrity of scientific purpose with health economic strategies, enabling rapid and sustainable patient access to our innovative diagnostic and digital solutions. You will act as a trusted partner to healthcare decision-makers, national payers, clinicians, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). By combining deep scientific rigor with health economic evidence, you will transform clinical data into actionable commercial and access pathways while upholding the highest ethical and compliance standards. Drive Access Strategy: Co-create and execute comprehensive market access and pricing strategies for the full diagnostic portfolio across Hungary. Manage Dossier & Reimbursements: Lead the end-to-end submission and negotiation of reimbursement dossiers for NEAK, the Ministry of Health, and relevant regulatory bodies. Demonstrate Payer Value: Localise payer value concepts, initiate health economic studies, and manage external health economic vendors to support funding decisions. Shape Healthcare Policy: Track legislative changes, environmental updates, and funding shifts to drive policy initiatives that resolve patient access gaps. Foster Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain long-term partnerships with the MoH, medical societies, regulatory authorities, and patient organisations. Ensure Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Regulatory, and the Roche Pharma Policy team ("OneRoche") to align go-to-market and government relations activities. Maintain Compliance: Execute all activities in strict adherence to Hungarian legislation, MedTech Europe codes, ISO standards, and the DIA Symphony framework. Who You Are You are an empathetic, strategic, and agile professional who thrives on solving complex healthcare access challenges. You bring an enterprise mindset, prioritizing patient outcomes while navigating intricate regulatory ecosystems. Relevant Qualification: University degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, Health Economics, or Business Administration (MD, PharmD, PhD, or MSc in Health Economics is an advantage). Industry Experience: 3–6+ years of professional experience in Market Access, Health Economics, and Health Policy within IVD, Pharmaceuticals, or Medical Devices. Proven Access Track Record: Demonstrated success in preparing and submitting reimbursement dossiers and health economic models in Hungary. Established Local Network: Strong professional relationships with Hungarian health authorities (NEAK, MoH), clinicians, and medical societies. AI and Digital Mindset: A forward-thinking colleague who understands that access and pricing governance, health economics, and value-based healthcare models are data-driven areas perfectly positioned for digital evolution and the strategic implementation of applied AI. Digital Literacy: Demonstrate a high degree of IT literacy, with explicit experience or a strong operational interest in leveraging predictive analytics and applied AI to optimize workflows. Language Proficiency: Native or fluent Hungarian alongside professional fluency in both written and spoken English. Technical Capability: Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce/Rexis) and basic health economic modeling concepts. Location: This position is based in Budapest, Hungary.
