Job Description: We are looking for a Senior Export Control & Sanctions Officer to come onboard in our Ethics & Compliance and Export Control function in Stefano Spano’s team : a team of 6 collaborators. What will be your role? We are looking to strengthen our Export Control & Sanctions team with a Senior Export Control & Sanctions Officer. Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring ATR’s compliance with applicable export control, sanctions and trade regulations. The position supports ATR and its subsidiaries by assessing regulatory risks, enabling compliant business activities, maintaining robust compliance processes and contributing to the continuous development of ATR’s Export Control & Sanctions Programme. The Senior Export Control & Sanctions Officer acts as a senior subject-matter expert and takes ownership of the day-to-day coordination and execution of assigned Export Control & Sanctions matters, under the accountability and decision authority of the Chief Compliance Officer. The role combines operational execution, business advisory activities, stakeholder management and continuous improvement of compliance processes, tools and governance. What makes you a great fit? Field of study Relevant background in International Trade, Export Control, Compliance, Law, International Relations, Engineering, Business or a related field. Experience Significant professional experience, typically 10+ years, in Export Control, Sanctions or International Trade Compliance within a multinational environment, preferably in aerospace, defence or another highly regulated industry. Experience interacting with governmental authorities and supporting complex international business transactions is highly desirable. Technical skills / knowledge Extensive knowledge of EU and French export control regulations, together with strong knowledge of U.S. and UK export control frameworks. Strong knowledge of international sanctions, embargoes and trade restrictions. Solid understanding of diversion, circumvention, end-use and end-user risk assessment. Experience with export classification, licensing, authorizations and technology control measures. Knowledge of compliance screening and third-party due diligence methodologies. Experience with export control and sanctions management tools and systems. Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical, risk-based business recommendations. Soft skills Ability to communicate with diplomacy and sound judgment, particularly in sensitive situations or where interests may diverge Strong business acumen and pragmatic problem-solving approach. Strong sense of ownership and ability to drive matters through to closure. Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy while recognizing matters requiring escalation. Ability to formulate clear recommendations and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels. Strong communication, presentation and training skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic international environment. Strong project management and continuous improvement mindset. Ability to build collaborative relationships across functions and cultures. High degree of integrity, professional judgement and credibility. Afin de renforcer son équipe Export Control & Sanctions, ATR recherche un(e) Senior Export Control & Sanctions Officer. Rattaché(e) au Chief Compliance Officer, le/la candidat(e) retenu(e) jouera un rôle clé dans la garantie de la conformité d’ATR aux réglementations applicables en matière de contrôle des exportations, de sanctions et de commerce international. Le poste apporte son soutien à ATR et à ses filiales en évaluant les risques réglementaires, en facilitant la conduite d’activités commerciales conformes, en maintenant des processus de conformité robustes et en contribuant au développement continu du programme Export Control & Sanctions d’ATR. Le/La Senior Export Control & Sanctions Officer agit en tant qu’expert(e) senior du domaine et assume la responsabilité de la coordination et de l’exécution quotidiennes des sujets qui lui sont confiés en matière d’Export Control & Sanctions, sous la responsabilité hiérarchique ainsi que l’autorité décisionnelle du Chief Compliance Officer. Cette fonction combine des activités opérationnelles, du conseil auprès des métiers, la gestion des parties prenantes ainsi que l’amélioration continue des processus, des outils et du dispositif de gouvernance de conformité. Qu'est-ce qui fait de vous un candidat idéal ? Domaine d'études Formation pertinente en commerce international, contrôle des exportations, conformité, droit, relations internationales, ingénierie, gestion d’entreprise ou dans un domaine connexe. Expérience Expérience professionnelle significative, généralement d’au moins 10 ans, dans les domaines du contrôle des exportations, des sanctions internationales ou de la conformité au commerce international, au sein d’un environnement multinational, idéalement dans l’aéronautique, la défense ou tout autre secteur fortement réglementé. Une expérience dans les échanges avec les autorités gouvernementales ainsi que dans l’accompagnement de transactions commerciales internationales complexes constitue un atout majeur. Compétences techniques / connaissances Excellente maîtrise de la réglementation européenne et française en matière de contrôle des exportations, ainsi qu’une solide connaissance des cadres réglementaires américains et britanniques. Très bonne connaissance des sanctions internationales, embargos et restrictions commerciales. Bonne compréhension des risques liés au détournement, au contournement des réglementations, à l’utilisation finale et aux utilisateurs finaux.
