Job description Are you ready to lead a team that plays a key role in shaping the future of our production operations? At Olink, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, we are strengthening our Production organization to build safer, more efficient, and more robust operations—and we are looking for a Manufacturing Support Manager to help drive this journey forward. Based in Uppsala and reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, you will lead a team of seven specialists and develop Manufacturing Support into a strong partner to Production. You will set clear priorities, strengthen ways of working, and create the conditions for your team to deliver effective support and lasting improvements. A key part of your role will be driving continuous improvement through a structured approach—from identifying and prioritizing opportunities to implementation and follow-up. Working closely with Production and cross-functional partners, you will turn business needs into coordinated actions that deliver meaningful and sustainable results. A Day in the Life: Lead, coach, and develop the Manufacturing Support team Establish clear goals and priorities, and monitor the team’s deliverables and development. Develop a structured and methodical approach for continuous improvement. Drive and coordinate the implementation of projects, changes, and new processes. Challenge existing ways of working and contribute with new perspectives and solutions. Foster a strong cross-functional collaboration with Production and related support functions. Actively contribute to the Production management team and take responsibility for the collective development of the business. Education & background Academic degree in a field such as chemistry, engineering, industrial management/engineering, or natural sciences, or equivalent relevant experience. Several years of experience in a leadership role within Operations, Production, or manufacturing in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or other quality-regulated industry. At least four years of experience in personnel management within a structured and controlled environment with high quality and compliance standards. Experience leading and developing teams in an operational and dynamic environment. Experience with change management, improvement initiatives, and the implementation of new processes. Solid understanding of production-related operations and cross-functional collaboration. Experience with Operational Excellence and quality improvements. Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is an asset, as is experience working in an international environment. Soft skills You are a people-focused leader who thrives in driving development, improvement, and change. You enjoy being at the heart of the action, taking an active and visible role when things move fast and multiple priorities are in play. With a coaching leadership style, you create clarity, set direction, and help your team prioritize effectively while fostering accountability, engagement, and professional growth. You bring a strategic mindset and can translate goals into practical actions, clear priorities, and effective ways of working. Structured and proactive, you continuously look for opportunities to improve processes, challenge established practices and drive positive change. As a leader, you balance long-term thinking with a hands-on approach, providing both direction and support in a dynamic environment. Most importantly, you are passionate about developing people, strengthening ways of working, and collaborating across the organization to achieve sustainable results. Why Join Us? At Olink, Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will be part of a nurturing team that values integrity, innovation, and involvement.
