The OpportunityWe are looking for a commercially minded finance professional to join our Abbott Nutrition team as FP&A Manager ( individual contributor ) for the South Africa market. In this role, you will serve as the key finance business partner to the local commercial organization and distributor network, providing financial insights, performance analysis, forecasting support, and governance oversight to drive sustainable business growth. What You'll Work OnAct as the primary finance partner to Commercial, Supply Chain, Distributor Management, and market leadership teams. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-range forecasts, budgets, and financial performance reports. Deliver actionable insights on sales performance, profitability, margins, operating expenses, and working capital. Support pricing strategies, promotional investments, distributor claims, and commercial decision-making. Monitor balance sheet accounts, accruals, reserves, and distributor-related balances to ensure accuracy and compliance. Ensure adherence to Abbott financial policies, internal controls, and audit requirements. Support internal and external audits and assist with remediation of audit findings. Drive process improvements through automation, standardization, and reporting enhancements. Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for efficiency, cost optimization, and performance improvement. Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support strategic business initiatives. QualificationsRequired ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Minimum 5 years' experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, Business Partnering, Financial Analysis, or related finance roles. Strong experience in both accounting and financial planning & analysis. Experience within multinational organizations, preferably in Nutrition, FMCG, Consumer Healthcare, or related industries. Experience supporting distributor-led markets and commercial sales organizations is highly advantageous. Strong analytical, forecasting, financial modeling, and business partnering skills. Proven ability to communicate financial insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Preferred QualificationsMBA or postgraduate qualification in Finance, Business, or Accounting. Experience driving process improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives. Knowledge of internal controls, compliance requirements, and audit processes within multinational environments.
