Project Role : Custom Software Engineer Project Role Description : Develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. Use modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs. Must have skills : Oracle Financials Good to have skills : NA Minimum 7.5 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Key Responsibilities Integration & Interface Design - Design and develop robust system integrations and data interfaces using: - ORMB File Framework - Batch processing with multi-threading capabilities - RESTful APIs and XML-based services - External/internal API integrations - Ensure high-performance, scalable, and secure data exchange mechanisms - Troubleshoot and optimize interface performance across upstream and downstream systems - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define integration patterns and data flows ORMB Development & Customization - Develop and configure custom components within OUAF, including: - Algorithms - Batch jobs and batch controls - Business services - UI maps, zones, and portals - Extend ORMB functionality to meet complex business requirements - Implement configurations and customizations aligned with Oracle Utilities best practices - Perform debugging, performance tuning, and code optimization - Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and solution architecture Batch Processing & Performance Optimization - Design and manage high-volume batch processing jobs - Implement multi-threading strategies to improve processing efficiency - Monitor batch performance and address bottlenecks proactively - Ensure data integrity and consistency across batch executions Reporting & Analytics (Nice to Have) - Develop and support reports and dashboards using Power BI - Enable business insights by integrating ORMB datasets into reporting layers - Design data models and visualizations for billing, revenue, and operational metrics Required Skills & Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in Oracle RMB (ORMB) - Strong expertise in OUAF (Oracle Utilities Application Framework) Proficiency - Java / J2EE (ORMB backend development) - SQL and database concepts - XML, RESTful services, and API integrations Experience ORMB File Framework - Batch job design and multi-threading - Solid understanding of billing and revenue management processes - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills Preferred Skills - Exposure to Power BI reporting and dashboard development - Experience in cloud-based deployments (OCI/Azure/AWS) is a plus - Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies - Prior experience in utilities domain (energy, water, or telecom billing systems) 15 years full time education About Accenture Accenture is a leading global professional services company that helps the world’s leading businesses, governments and other organizations build their digital core, optimize their operations, accelerate revenue growth and enhance citizen services—creating tangible value at speed and scale.
