This role will lead the overall verification strategy, execution, and release readiness while serving as the technical leader for Performance, Reliability, Scalability, and Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) validation. The ideal candidate combines strong V&V leadership experience with hands-on expertise in designing, automating, and executing performance and reliability testing for complex distributed systems. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end Verification & Validation activities for medical device software and system solutions. Define risk-based verification strategies and ensure alignment with product requirements, quality objectives, and regulatory expectations. Own the verification approach for Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), including performance, scalability, reliability, availability, resilience, recoverability, security, and interoperability. Design and execute performance qualification activities including load, stress, endurance, scalability, failover, recovery, and capacity testing. Develop and maintain performance test scripts, automation frameworks, workload simulators, and reliability test harnesses. Analyze system bottlenecks and performance issues across applications, databases, cloud infrastructure, networking, and distributed system components. Lead reliability and resilience validation through fault injection, network impairment, failover, and recovery testing. Drive automation-first testing practices and integrate verification into CI/CD pipelines. Mentor verification engineers and establish best practices for verification, automation, and quality engineering. Collaborate with Software, Systems, Architecture, Quality, and Regulatory teams throughout the product lifecycle. Ensure compliance with IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, FDA, and MDR regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related STEM discipline. Proven experience leading Verification & Validation activities for complex software products, preferably medical devices or regulated systems. Strong hands-on expertise in Performance Engineering, Reliability Testing, and NFR verification. Experience developing automation frameworks and test scripts using Java, Python, or similar technologies. Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, k6, LoadRunner, Locust, or equivalent. Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, networking, observability, and scalability principles. Experience with CI/CD platforms and automated quality pipelines. Excellent technical leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in connected healthcare, cloud-connected medical devices, remote serviceability solutions, or distributed healthcare platforms. Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, Splunk, or App Insights. Experience validating highly available, mission-critical systems in regulated environments.
