Job Description ABOUT THE ROLE Currently, we are looking for an Automation Specialist. ROLE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Continuous improvement in terms of production process development and machinery reliability Direct contact with global Engineering Department to coordinate industrialization / engineering change process Using CAD software and 3D printer for prototyping and spare parts manufacturing Managing middle complex projects Keeping machinery in optimal working conditions Conducting repairs in field of automation, electronics, electrics and mechanics Conducting preventive maintenance actions according to schedule Creating PLC software and hardware changes Direct contact with machines suppliers in case of serious breakdowns Reporting shortages of spare parts to Maintenance Manager Updating necessary technical documentation Contact with employees from other sites, Engineering Department and subcontractors for solving problems or updates regarding production machines Optimization of production lines and production lines control systems Compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) and work regulations KEY COMPETENCES Automation, electrical and electronical knowledge Mechanical/CAD skills - 3D and 2D PLC and HMI operator panel programming Continuous improvement/quality tools understanding Ability to manage middle complex projects Communicative English Minimum education or Equivalent experience Technical degree in automation or related field Experience in diagnosing and repairing industrial automation systems Required Skills: Automation Technology, Breakdown Maintenance, Building Automation Systems, Computer System Validation (CSV), Control Systems Integration, Electrical Maintenance, Engineering Document Management, Equipment Calibrations, Industrial Automation, Industrial Machinery, Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), Machinery Diagnostics, Machinery Manufacturing, Manufacturing Process Controls, Parts Sourcing, PLC Programming, Production Scheduling, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Spare Parts Management Preferred Skills: Current Employees apply HERE Current Contingent Workers apply HERE Search Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA, also known as Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC, Rahway, NJ, USA, does not accept unsolicited assistance from search firms for employment opportunities.
