Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced and highly collaborative UX/UI Specialist to drive the user experience and interface design of Metrologic DCS product portfolio, which includes the next generation MLM Plaform, Metrolog Suite and 3DCS software. This role will play a key part in shaping a modern, scalable, and intuitive user experience across the digital manufacturing ecosystem, ensuring consistency and workflow alignment between MLM, Inspection Flow, and the broader Metrolog Suite. The ideal candidate combines strong UX thinking, workflow design expertise, and modern UI capabilities with the ability to understand complex industrial software environments, manufacturing processes, quality workflows, and user personas across engineering, production, metrology, and quality operations. The UX/UI Specialist will work cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Application Specialists, Customers, and Marketing to design and transform complex workflows into intuitive, efficient, and customer-centric experiences. Key Responsibilities: UX Strategy & User Experience Design Lead the UX definition and evolution for the MLM platform as a strategic extension of Inspection Flow and revamping the workflows of existing products Design end-to-end user journeys, workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and interaction models. Ensure seamless and intuitive navigation across the MLM ecosystem and alignment with the broader Sandvik Intelligent Manufacturing Product Portfolio Analyze customer workflows in manufacturing, inspection, quality management, metrology, and engineering environments. Translate complex industrial and technical processes into clear and efficient user experiences. Drive workflow simplification and usability improvements across the platform portfolio. Conduct user research, usability testing, and customer feedback sessions. Define and maintain UX standards, interaction guidelines, and design consistency. UI Design & Design System Development Create modern, responsive, and scalable UI concepts aligned with the company's product vision. Develop reusable UI components and contribute to a unified design system across Metrolog Suite products. Ensure visual consistency between MLM, Inspection Flow, Metrolog, QDM, and other connected applications. Collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of UX/UI concepts. Create mock-ups, clickable prototypes, visual assets, and UI specifications. Support the modernization of legacy interfaces where applicable. Workflow Alignment Across Metrolog Suite Harmonize workflows and user interactions across the Metrologic-DCS software ecosystem. Identify inconsistencies and propose standardization opportunities across applications. Collaborate with Product Managers to align product experiences with strategic platform direction, specific industrial use cases Contribute to the definition of common navigation principles, terminology, and user interaction patterns. Support integration scenarios between MLM, Inspection Flow, Metrolog, and adjacent solutions. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Product Management to translate business strategy and customer needs into UX/UI requirements. Collaborate with software architects and engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle. Partner with application specialists and customers to validate usability and workflow efficiency. Support customer demonstrations, workshops, and innovation sessions when needed. Contribute to agile product development processes. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in engineering, master’s in computer applications (MCA), or equivalent qualification. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in creation of industrial context and business portfolio Proven technical knowledge in Figma and good understanding of latest tools for creating UI/UX Proven experience designing workflows and interfaces for complex B2B or industrial software environments. Strong portfolio demonstrating UX process, workflow optimization, and UI design capabilities. Strong understanding of usability principles, interaction design, and responsive design. Understanding industrial workflows and engineering user personas. Ability to translate technical concepts into intuitive user experiences. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
