Job description

Role Overview As a UX Designer at NETGEAR, you will craft intuitive, engaging interfaces for our enterprise and consumer networking products. You’ll partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Visual Design teams to translate complex networking concepts into clear, user-centered experiences across web, mobile, and desktop platforms. Key Responsibilities - User Research: Plan and conduct usability studies, interviews, and surveys to uncover user needs and pain points. - Interaction Design: Develop wireframes, user flows, and prototypes that illustrate product functionality and user journeys. - Visual & Information Design: Create high-fidelity mockups and design specs aligned with NETGEAR’s brand and design system. - AI-Assisted Design & Prototyping: Use tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Figma Make, and other AI-powered UX tools to accelerate ideation, research synthesis, UX writing, design exploration, and rapid prototyping. - Collaboration: Work closely with engineers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and responsively across devices. - Iteration & Validation: Gather feedback from stakeholders and end users; iterate designs to optimize usability and performance. - Documentation: Maintain and evolve our UX guidelines, component libraries, and style documentation. Qualifications - Experience: 10+ years of complete UX Design experience, preferably on B2B, SaaS, enterprise, or networking products. - Education: Bachelor’s degree preferably in UX/UI Design, Human–Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, or related field. - Tools & Skills: - Strong proficiency with Figma (components, auto-layout, prototyping). - Experience with Figma Make and AI-assisted prototyping workflows. - Experience using Claude, ChatGPT, and other emerging AI tools for UX research, ideation, UX writing, and rapid prototyping. - Familiarity with usability testing tools (e.g., UserTesting, Maze). - Solid foundation in graphic design (typography, color, layout). - Experience with web & mobile app design strategies. - Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and responsive design principles. - Experience with AI tools for UX and product design. - Attributes: - Strong empathy and communication skills, able to articulate design choices. - Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven design decisions. - Ability to learn networking concepts quickly and translate them into user workflows. - Collaborative spirit and comfort working in Agile/Scrum environments. - A portfolio showcasing design process and outcomes.
