This position reports to: Manufacturing Engineering Manager __ Your Role and ResponsibilitiesJoin our Critical Power team at our Napier facility as a Manufacturing Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and advancing our manufacturing capabilities. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical components and systems that support our industry-leading critical power solutions. Work model: onsite #LI-onsite Your main responsibilities will include: Modify and maintain mechanical components and assemblies for function, safety, reliability, and manufacturability using Solidworks or equivalent software Implementation of new design and modifications while collaborating with R&D, Agile, Quality, and Production teams Create and manage manufacturing data including 3D models, schematics, BOMs, and assembly procedures, maintaining technical documentation for active products Develop and manage engineering changes, problem-solving analysis, and support new product development initiatives in the Critical Power sector Our Team Dynamics Our teams support each other, collaborate, and never stop learning. Qualifications for the RoleDegree in Mechanical Engineering or demonstrate equivalent experience Solidworks or similar 3D modelling software expertise and 2D drafting proficiency (e.g., Autocad) 3+ years of experience managing technical documentation and working in manufacturing engineering, design, or product development environments Knowledge of design for assembly/manufacture (DFA/DFM), ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and manufacturing processes with meticulous attention to detail Mindset to innovate, take ownership, drive continuous improvement, and communicate effectively across departments Desirable: Experience with Product Lifecycle Management systems (e.g., Windchill), power electronics equipment, or new product development roles More About Us In ABB's Power Conversion division, our customers require reliable and efficient power that supports their growing infrastructure, ensuring that data flows 24x7, while optimizing their footprint, energy costs and operations.
