Job Description Brief Description: The Director, HRBP (R&D) serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, aligning people strategies with business objectives. This role partners closely with leaders to drive organizational transformation and effectiveness, business-focused talent strategies, leadership development, workforce planning and employee engagement. The HRBP operates as a trusted consultant, change leader and coach, leveraging data, business acumen and HR expertise to influence outcomes and enable sustainable growth. The position reports directly to the Strategic HRBP R&D and will work closely with colleagues across the matrix HR team including the HRBPs, HR COEs, HR Delivery and HR Operations. Essential Functions Key Responsibilities: Strategic Business Partnership: Partners with senior leaders / RDFLT members to understand business priorities and translate them into people strategies aligned with organizational goals. Provides thought leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning and leadership capability. Acts as a trusted advisor and coach to senior leaders on complex people and organizational matters. Organizational Insight: Develops a deep understanding of the organization, its strategy, priorities, customers and translates those into value-added people priorities. Matrix team: Works effectively across the HR Operating model to support the successful delivery of functional projects and programs. Delivers an engaging experience for leaders and employees. Organization Design: Partners with senior leaders to drive organizational re-design, developing strategies to both develop internal talent and build for future capability needs. Change Management: Leads and supports functional change management initiatives, including reorganizations and M&A activity. Partners effectively with COEs to champion organizational values, employee engagement and the management of change initiatives. Talent Management: Inputs into and executes our business-driven talent management process through effective collaboration with other HRBPs and the Talent Solutions team. Shares ideas and best practices and follows-up on outcomes post-talent review with functional leaders to develop and execute tactical interventions to deliver on our talent strategy. Global HR Collaboration: Collaborate with global HR teams to fully leverage the HR operating model and to effectively work across the HR matrix. Proactively seeks out opportunities for process improvements and implementation of best practices. Data-Driven Decision Making: Proactively use data, metrics, and evidence to inform and drive decision-making and change across key business areas. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Extensive HRBP Experience: Progressive HR partnership experience with accountability for partnering, coaching and influencing senior leaders. Experience across HR functional areas including performance management, reward, talent acquisition, organizational development, change management. Business Acumen & Partnership: Strong business acumen with the ability to understand financial, operational, and strategic drivers. Demonstrated experience leading organizational transformation, change and influencing senior leaders. Adaptability & Resilience: Strong ability to navigate and thrive in an ambiguous environment, with the agility to pivot with changing priorities. Ability to cope with and recover from challenges quickly and appropriately prioritize a high volume of work. Process and Project Management: Strong process orientation and project management skills, with the capability to implement global solutions. Relationship Building: Exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively and effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Advising and Coaching: Proven ability to influence, advise and coach senior leaders. Strategic Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to define problems, establish creative solutions and determine optimal courses of action within broader organizational strategies and objectives. Communication and Detail Orientation: Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service orientation and management presence. Global Experience: Experience working within a global organization, with a focus on matrix teams and projects. In-depth US, UK or EU HR knowledge. Data-Driven Decision Making: Demonstrated ability to handle, interpret and leverage data to inform decisions and solutions. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office Suite and HR systems (preferably Workday). Intellectual curiosity and aptitude to leverage AI to create value and unlock capacity within the HR team. FOR US BASED CANDIDATES ONLY Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $180,800.00 - $271,200.00 Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis. At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz’s Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
